  • Hi everybody

Great to meet you, GP - regarding the bike, I know this is the wrong thread, but I always find Trading Standards brilliant help when I have consumer problems.

Must get on, working tonight on my latest project. I couldn't get down to it today, I kept checking this thread (my latest addiction) and sorting various things out for my children (I'm definitely their PA).

    Have a good evening everybody.

Thanks 40sm for the update hun..no wine bells for me either after all..thought there might be as if I have had a few days drinking my first af day is usually hard, but not today...(still feeling a bit rough though)..

Only just got all the kids asleep so off now to get a brew and my double decker....

115K enjoy your 'celeb' mags, they always make me laugh how they put headlines on the front that don't match the story at all but just get you to buy them....I read one the other day that said on the front 'Britney wants to be a teacher' and in the story (quotes from a friend) it said at one point 'britney has said in the past how maybe she would be better off quitting showbusines and being a teacher or something) not exactly registering herself on a teacher training course then :rotfl:

Have a good evening all x

Hi all- welcome back GP, we've missed you.

Congrats Jo...now get off the thread and do your application NOW.

I've had a dreadful sweet tooth since I gave up drinking, the only way I have found of not eating nine double deckers a night is to drink that options chocolate drink, and even then it doesn't really hit the spot.

    Good luck tonight everyone.

    Okay, feel bad now :o

Please take all the well dones back cos I fooked up.....had a couple of bottles of Becks that are still in my kitchen since before xmas (didn't check the date :undecided), just went on autopilot

Sat outside the shop for an eternity and talked myself out of it, decided to stay sober (even sung a song to myself on the way home about staying sober and how great it all is :o ), then came straight in and went straight to the stash without giving myself time to think

Never mind, onwards and upwards, onto the coffee now cos it's not as nice as I remembered, feel a bit cloudy now and want my bed, anyone'd think I'd had a skinful!!

Anyways, 40SM, take me back a day please, or leave it and I'll catch up tomorrow :)

    Sorry guys.... :o

That's 10/14 for me now please.

Weekend was a bit heavier drink wise than expected. Sober today though.

Hugs to those that need 'em and sleep well all.

Please don't feel bad - you cannot change what just happened. Your progress up until now has been great

When I used to say 'I was on autopilot' and 'I don't know how I started but I ended up having a few beers' I was being dishonest with myself. I may not have given it much thought because I didn't want to, but the fact I poured drink down my throat was a decision I made. Albeit a bad decision, but I take responsiblity for it.
Sat outside the shop for an eternity and talked myself out of it, decided to stay sober (even sung a song to myself on the way home about staying sober and how great it all is :o ), then came straight in and went straight to the stash without giving myself time to think

So many people relapse on 'fook it' moments, and they think it all happens very quickly. However, when they look back, they see it has been building up to it for a while. Honesty, self-awareness and reflection are useful here.
A lot of time, we don't know WHY we did it, and need direction to help us see
Never mind, onwards and upwards, onto the coffee now cos it's not as nice as I remembered, feel a bit cloudy now and want my bed, anyone'd think I'd had a skinful!!

Onwards and upwards indeed. You have to look at the triggers you faced today, and honestly ask yourself why you really felt like a drink. A couple of days ago you were so positive. Try and figure out what happened. This is not to punish you, but to ensure you are more in tune with your emotions and motivations and stronger the next time you are sitting outside the shop.
    Sorry guys.... :o

There is no-one you need to apologise to, not even yourself. I am sure you are being too hard on yourself as it is
Re-read your posts over the last week - they were so joyous. You want that again I imagine. You can achieve it - you were saying you had quit drinking. You need that mindset again.
I have kept a seat warm for you on the wagon, and we miss your company. Back on please!!
