Loads of times Mrs BHB & I have spent the day really working hard - eg. cleaning out the barn by hand, moving 20 tonnes of muck and she has come inside saying bet she has lost some weight today and has actually put on weight through the day !

Best thing - eat chips and chocolate :D

Feeling quite proud of myself, we are having a big silver service work do for some of the leadership team that are leaving next month. The woman that's organising it said there will be no teas or coffees, only wine and beer  I told her I don't drink and that's quite unfair on those that don't drink alcohol. She looked at me a bit odd. I didn't offer an explanation, just said I don't drink anymore :T:T:T it felt good :D

On another note, I have not yet got round to doing my job application yet  it's gotta be in by Thursday   plus I've just seen another job advertised, not in a school but within the council only working 9.30 - 2.30 for the same money that I'm on now, 2 1/2 hours less a week, no more childminders - I WANT IT!!!

I also had some wine yesterday and although I don't feel ill or anything today I am a bit disappointed with myself . I feel so much better about myself when I am not drinking . I get so much more done etc..... so why do I drink:confused: .

Why do we do it to ourselves?
It is not logical or rational, but we drink anyway.

I know, just me speaking about me here, that I wasn't addicted to alcohol. I abused it regularly, and am alcoholic, but wasn't addicted.
I drank as I wanted to change the way I felt - if happy I drank to get happier, if sad I drank to get normal, if bored I drank for excitement. These weren't conscious thoughts, as I only wanted to drink one drink, not 17!!

For me, I drank as I am alcoholic, and that's what alcoholics do.
