Secondly Budgie, things have settled down a lot and me and OH have opened up communication channels again and things are back on track and good. Just goes to show how things were at a point of no return and now are better than they have been for 3+ years as a result of explaining to each other why we are like we are.

Morning Orchid . Poor you.
I also had some wine yesterday and although I don't feel ill or anything today I am a bit disappointed with myself . I feel so much better about myself when I am not drinking . I get so much more done etc..... so why do I drink.
Anyway I have decided that this has got to be DAY1 of me giving up for a while. i don't know if I want to give forever But I do want to for the forseeable future.
I need to get my life in order and I can either choose to do it today or.... someday. I choose today . Care to join me Orchid. ?
I aim to be the same me BUT BETTER.:o
Have a lovely day everyone.

I know it is difficult when you feel like this, one side to carry on drinking at a lower level then increases to a higher level. On the other side part of you saying to yourself stop cut down get life inorder see how I feel without alcohol, how I am without a substance affecting how I feel and think.
Which side wins the argument in your head, listen to the one you really want eg stopping for now and ignore the voices from the other side of the argument, Keep ing busy is a good help.
Good luck

Morning all :hello:
2 AF days for me please I was absolutely shattered last night. Just after I had posted here, I unloaded the dishwasher, made my sandwich for today and went off to bed. I read my book for a bit then fell asleep. Woke up at 4am though! Guess I went to bed far too early
I'm trying for AF today aswell. I actually feel great today. No fuzzy head and I ate a proper breakfast with the boys. I can normally only manage a large glass of orange juice.
So maybe I can do even better that my target after all. Can I jump with joy? :jNeed to start again0 -
:DHello, all,am back from hols ! Had the most fab, relaxing time (in Spain),a real boost and much needed! Just a wee quick post as still catching up on washing before work today, and have not had the chance to look properly thru all the posts since I've been away.
Will catch up later BUT have to say a huge well done to you, Jo, you have been fab and I think you having such young kids particularly tugs at my heartstrings,as the benefits to them of you being AF are immense.I know ,as I wish I had not drank so much when mine were smaller:o So keep going:j
I feel really positive as I got time for some life re -evaluation when I was away, and me and my lovely OH have a clearer idea of what we would like life to be like(God willing !) and that means enjoying ourselves more ,as the old day to day routine needs some rewards -before, that meant wine for me . That has now changed.
By the way ,on 3 AF days for June now,40 SM ,bit behind my target, but onwards I go:T A big hello to you all !0
