Yeah, yeah, I know  :D

The special ocassions didn't happen enough to worry about anyway!

As you've probably noticed, I'm having problems spelling ocassions/occassions/occasions today, none of them look right!

Ann, sleeping is notoriously hard on the first week of being AF, when you drink you aren't getting proper sleep, it's actually very disturbed but when you don't drink then it's easy to lay awake a bit longer plus have some vivid dreams. It does settle down after a few days and it is worth perservering with. Good luck for today, sorry to hear you feel carp....stick with us girl, you'll be fine :)

I noticed the vivid dreams too, and I remember them now in the morning in real detail. One thing I do notice is that 5 hrs of AF sleep is more restorative than 12 hrs of drunk sleep. I still don't sleep very well, but I don't panic about it now. Anyone got any top tips for sober insomniacs?

Hope everyone is OK today- sorry if people thought the thread has been a bit heavy of late- reflects the ups and downs of people who are struggling to manage alcohol I suppose, but hopefully the good weather this weekend will brighten us all up.

PS Budgie- FI's in a bit of pickle this morning, hope it doesn't detract from the race this weekend!!!!

Thanks eselt, now I know what to expect maybe it will be easier. At least it was only 3 glasses and not 2 bottles.Have a hair appointment today with my lovely Welsh hairdresser and get all the English gossip great!!Hope everone is well and enjoying life today.:A

Me, too, Eselt. That's why I'm always one of the last to post on here each night! That and the fact I feel a sense of achievement when I get to the end of an AF day and need to put it on record.

Jo, sorry if I tempted you with my late night musings on my drinks cupboard. I'm also finding evenings long. I could always find work to do but I don't really want to give up my relaxing time. Going out to a hobby (like my dancing) works well but isn't very fair on OH if I go too often.

    All ideas welcome!

    Hello everyone

Only had two glasses out of the bottle OH got me and then put the bottle back in the fridge. Felt exhausted.

Sorry if I made the thread a bit heavy yesterday - was just doing my musings out loud. Don't think I was around the last time all the "labels stuff came up so wasn't aware it was a delicate issue.

Hope everyone is having good Fridays

    Miss P
    xx

Ann you did v well to only have 3 glasses. Also (dunno if this has been mentioned to you) you shouldn't give up all at once if you are drinking that much - it can cause seizures; apparently you're supposed to cut back, not that I ever do but it is safer. I know I wont sleep for a few nights so take some juice, a good book and have the remote controll by my hand. You're also liable to heavy sweats, I sleep on a towel and have one on top of it so I dont wake up wet. I also take an anti-histamine as they make you drousy - make sure you dont get the non-drousy ones.

This is what worries me atm, the fact that am loving a good night's sleep and I dont want to go through the sweats again - oh and night jerks!!! I feel like someones plugged my body in!

Anyway if it's the 19th June then now I'm 18 AF:T . I have a few times given up for Lent or only drank when I've gone out during Lent. I do it just to prove I can but I never feel its a lifestyle change. Trouble is I like all alcohol and how it makes me feel.... then I remember how greedy I am and how I end up going all hell bent for leather and disliking myself so probs an early night - I've had a good day so that's cool. Am pretty much TKmaxed out, gonna have a cuppa with my memory foam slippers on :rotfl::rotfl:

Hey hun it was more my fault than yours & I should've known better as I was here last time around so SORRY everyone! Am now :silenced:.

Here's one for bhb due to rural theme:

Two cows standing next to each other in a field, Daisy says to Dolly
"I was artificially inseminated this morning."
"I don't believe you," said Dolly.
    "It's true, no bull!"
