    Hi Guys :hello:

Sorry but just a really quick post tonight as I have soooooo much to do. I have to finish my hamper for the Tara Centre summer fair as I need to take it to class tomorrow night. I must say though since doing this meditation I do feel calmer. I had quite a wide boy on the phone yesterday at work, you know the kind thinks he can keep talking and get his own way. I actually said to him that it was no good him falling out with me, he either did as I asked or we could go no further. I very rarely upset people but I felt better for it :D I will do anything to help someone if I can, and it is horrible that people who work in Estate Agents are viewed as crooked, I am difinitely not crooked, maybe a bit tilted to one side :rotfl:Sorry for a bit of a rant, but really Budgie dislikes slimy people who care for no one but themselves. Ok rant over ;)

And Budgie really must get on ..................

Welcome to Forever Hopeful and thankyou for your honest post. I look forward to getting to know you better when I have more time. So wishing you good luck sweetheart and take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fluffy B well done on reaching your target, first again my dear :T Hope all is well and getting better for you now? So take care and do look after yourself. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Dear Lurky now you know you don't want to drink in the week :naughty::naughty: as our darling Jo says try and eat something or to go to bed early. Hey remember you are THE SPACE COWBOY, you surely aren't going to let a little can of beer get to ya? No siree .............. Hugs matey and take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Welcome back Maman and good to hear that you have not been over doing it :T Glad to see you back and good luck for the rest of the month. Hugs sxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Miss P well done on just buying a small bottle :T and how adorable is little piglet :A take care sweetheart and lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Fay and Jo hugs to two of my favorite people, well done to both of you and keep strong and positive. Lots of love xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hugs to everyone else, I am sorry but I have to go, it is so addictive on here that once you start posting its hard to stop. Btw Pricey well done on hampering, we shall have to confer :D xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Hugs to Fedup and hope you are ok sweetheart? Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

So to the adorable and lovely 40sm I am on 15/16 sweetheat, I shan't be back to update now until Friday  How shall I manage? Still I shall think of everyone until then. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Ok guys love n hugs Budgie must fly ............................

Btw I do wonder how I keep referring to myself as Budgie? Hope I don't do another email to a senior partner at work saying that I am going to throw myself off a cliffe and sign it Budgie  Nightmare .....................

Oh and more redundancies at work, but we won't go there........................

    God Bless
    Budgie xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Not that I like to dwell on other peoples woes, but it is actually quite comforting to know that other people have wine alarm bells

Well, it's 8.30pm and into my danger time. So far I have phoned the Sunday Times Wine Club and cancelled my order and phoned the Cats Protection because the cat has to go.

I feel a bit sad about the cat but I have been procrastinating for far too long. He terrorises the kids and just isn't a friendly cat. My youngest was playing on the floor with a toy car and he tried to bite his head  That was the final straw, but that was over a month ago.

I feel motivated to sort things out and hopefully with the help of this forum I can :T

I've been thinking about the AF thing and what to say to 40sm (who sounds alot like me) But I'm not sure what I want to do
    Need to start again :o
  • well done foreverhopeful for getting to your danger zone without a tipple, now how's about a nice cup of tea and a biscuit...! :j That's what i'm having and off to the sofa now to watch ladette to lady... hope you have a quiet nite, and not too many wine bells ringing...

you don't have to set a target if you don't want to, maybe just take it one day at a time.. ;)

Hiya Budge, hope you well? Enjoy your class tomorrow xxxx

FH, the choice is yours, personally I would say try for a few AF days this month and see how you get on, you've taken a big step today by posting so take it easy and try to work out what you want to do over the next couple of weeks. There is 15 days left of the month, when do you think you most think about drinking? Is it a weekend, or a Friday? You could either go for every other day abstain, or maybe just drink at the weekends which would give you 4 drinking days left this month, I dunno  whatever you want to achieve. I think it's important to get 1 day under your belt to see how you feel and then you can work out what you need to change to put your next AF day in place without worrying about it. Hopefully you won't be like me and have no choice but to be AF. Have you drunk yet today? If not, why not drink coffee/tea/squash/whatever, eat choklit and read a magazine or watch trashy telly then go to bed early (that's the sort of thing I'd do), or like others on here do the garden (if it's not raining), read a book, do housework (), watch a film, do the ironing ( ). Let us know what you decide to do :)

FH, Or you could do that :D

I'm sat here typing one-handed eating pork ribs that I coated in sticky rib sauce, got toberlone for afties  I love being sober! If I had drank today I wouldn't have had ANY dinner and NO choklit  plus I'd probably be asleep by now :rotfl:

Forever Hopeful, some people on here don't set a target and like to take each day and try to make it af at a time, you could start like that? or otherwise start slowly with a target.

I got my target wrong for this my first month by saying 24 which considering up until recently I hane only had odd days here and there af....so be realistic and as lots of people say baby steps....good luck

Had the wine bells earlier on but not much of a problem to ignore them today although I am for some reason in a bit of a bad mood....I think I actually look like this  right now...but I don't know why....not had a great day with the kids am trying so hard not to shout but mine do test

    me sooo much...

Budgie You are such a busy budgie but always manage lovely posts bless you...enjoy your meditation tomorrow and hope the hamper goes down well....xxx

YM Thanks forthe multiple quote info...good to know..and liked your good example of using it...you are so

anyway I have decided as well that its healthy eating from next week so am doing a big healthy online shop with Mr T I am just picking picking all day long at the moment on biscuits/choc/anything really! this needs to stop! but I hate diets so its 'healthy eating' and get back to the gym me thinks...

Glad you had a good holiday Maman sounds like you did great with the drinkies and managed to chill out a bit...

MissP well done on just a mini bottle :T and bless little piglet...

Fluffy well done on achieving your target :T

Have a nice night everyone xxx

No, No, don't enjoy my bath anymore cos that's where I used to go every night for an hour to drink myself stupid, it's the only place in the house I can lock myself away, I was the squeekiest clean alcoholic in Southern England! Now it's an 'in and out' affair (cue a lurky post )

Hope your 'ness goes soon, I had a day like that last week, didn't stop screaming and banging doors :rotfl:

I've been sweetness and light tonight as OH is up at the Kings of Leon gig at the O2 and I'm home alone with the remote, though wasting it cos I'm on here :rotfl:

Anyway OH and I are going out for a nice chinese meal tomorrow to have a 'chat' and see how we are. Looking forward to it, make myself look nice and feel nice more importantly. Can't wait!

Budgie, hope you are well my dear and glad to hear the meditation is going well. Well done for standing your ground with creepie wide boy at work, all the better for you my dear!

Take care everyone and thanks to BHB, YM, winebox and Sir Lurky for the smiles, laughs and jokes that make me smile through the day at work (when I am supposed to be working that is!)
