    40SM

I know how you feel regarding the children as mine drive me potty as well. I am, i suppose, a bit like your OH and I used to lose it with mine until I thought I wonder what I look like when I am angry with my children. Now this sounds a bit silly but pull an angry face in the mirror and I garentee that he will think twice before getting angry again. It is difficult I know but I try to step back and think before I act now. Same with road rage ;)

No way are you failing as a mum so dont think that at all. Its our kids jobs to drive us mad and its on their CV :D

Still on only 4 for me but have not drunk about 40 cans of lager.

    Take care

I think I came to the conclusion I didn't actually want to give up completely and would really like to have a beer or two at weekends :o

Thats my Mantra as well. I still have a tipple but have cut my intake by about 95% which, I think, is an improvement.

    Good luck sir

    What can I say?

Upset bigstyle today, trying to work through things, no more alcohol, so on 14 days now incl today.

Don't be so hard on yourself 40sm, I'm sure you are a great mum

Jo, hope you feel better soon me dear

YM, glad to hear you are consuming much less than before

BHB - see if you can get to a take it or leave it stage and not have the same relationship with alcohol than you had before

As for me, trying to work through things in the best way I can and not block anything out by drinking. Didn't work before won't work now. Sat here in tears today. Seeing if I can hold it together to go to work this afternoon.

    Hi FUAS

Well done for not succuming to the drink at this difficult time. I know it sounds cliched but better, brighter times are ahead for you. Just hang in there while the storm is blowing and the winds will subside and all will be calm and bright again.

    Take care
