  • Good morning everybody

13 for me pls, 40SM - hope you are OK?

Thanks very much to Jo for volunteering for July.

Congratulations to Dotstar! Hope you feel well, although the first 12 weeks can be a bit queasy ...

    Hope FUAS is feeling strong.

MP - I went on an NSPCC open gardens afternoon yesterday around some REALLY POSH gardens with Mr PIR - it was so pleasant. I've just shoved some grass seed on the lawn, I'm so inspired :rotfl::rotfl: Seriously, when I finish this next project, I'm going to take the garden in hand and make it look neat and pretty, like several of the good people on this thread are doing

BB - I hope you are feeling positive and that you are managing to get Mr BB interested in doing things outside the house. It is the last AS level this afternoon - Maths Statistics. So that's one DD who will be happier.

DD2 has a GCSE module next week, but she's cool about it (too cool?). DD3 (age 13) has suddenly turned into hell child - oh no, here we go again for the 3rd time ... And I can't take solace in the pinot any more. Must get plenty of elderflower presse and chocklit in.

Must get on. A project awaits.

Have a lovely day everybody xx

I think I came to the conclusion I didn't actually want to give up completely and would really like to have a beer or two at weekends :o

Never mind .... lets see if I can keep it under control this time .....

Just on here quickly after my weekend away....am not looking great for my target as the last 3 days havn't been af :o:o however I am very pleased with the quantities I had, much less than normal, units wise probably less than half that I would have done if I wasn't doing tht challenge...so I am on 8 af days for June 40SM..which means if I want to make my target of 24 days it would mean zero more drinking days for me!! think I did set too high a target for this month, especially as I had a party and a weekend away to consider...excuses escuses lol....I should have probably stuck to the 20 days I originally said...oh well...I will do my best to get as close as possible..will be catching up with all your posts tonight....

Hi to everyone and hope you are all doing well xxx

    hi all I'm back!!!

fell off the wagon in spectacular style last month. have been alcohol free since last weekend when i found out I'm pregnant! I'm happy to say i have no urge whatsoever at the mo to drink, OH just offered a beer 'just the one will be okay' and i said no. i'm developing quite a taste for Sprite! xx

    :T:T:T

Congratulations on the pregnancy. Now that is a good reason to stay off the alcohol. Take it easy and look after yourself.

I think that's the best idea for some of us. I know I couldn't give up my pinot grigio completely, but will have constant vigilence to keep it under control when I do have a drink on a Sat night, and will never again be tempted to throw all the week's units down in one night - which was my reaction when I first started doing this challenge! :o Good luck

To be honest BHB I think this is how a lot of us feel. I just have to practice on the "keeping it under control". I seem to think I have to polish off a bottle when I open it!

Don't beat yourself up about it though....as you should know from being on here, we ALL do it!!!
