Strange really as im the same.....yet I can quite happily throw enough alcohol down my neck to put a horse to sleep but when it comes to taking little tablets im horrified by them!:D :rotfl:

    Exactly :rotfl:

It's funny cos when I saw the locum doc the other day he asked why my normal doc prescribed me diazepam last year, I said it was to help quit the alcohol but I didn't actually take any of them (well actually I had 1) because I can't stand feeling out of control.

He gave me a very funny look :rotfl: he didn't say anything though!

I wasn't sure whether to post this message as I didn't want to embarrass a certain somebody, but...what the heck...

Budgie very very kindly made my day today and surprised me with a parcel (only 2 of you know my address so just gotta work out who gave it to her now :D don't worry Budge, I trust you implicitly with the information, plus as Fay has previously said 'Budge does a mean parcel' so it's worth it :rotfl:

    Take a look:

What a lovely thing to do, Budgie :A Enjoy, Jo!! :T

BTW,Budgie, do you always wrap presents so professionally? I thought you were an estate agent?? But both Jo and Fay's pressies are wrapped and decorated like something you would buy in Selfridges or Harvey Nichs ... Where do you get all that ribbon, the baskets and, most of all, the crinkly crispy polythene?

Wow! What an amazing parcel, everything looks gorgeous.

Jo - I know exactly what you're going through with your tooth. I had minor flare ups with a wisdom tooth coming in and kept refusing to do anything about it (in spite of the terrible pain), just asking for antibiotics every time. Finally I had a REALLY bad flare-up - OMG, one half of my face was like a balloon, can't-be-seen-in-public-scare-small-children bad! Dentist said enough was enough, just took out one of my back teeth to make way for the wisdom tooth to come in and never a problem since (touch wood!) and that was about 7 yrs ago.

Can't believe how stubborn I was about not having a tooth removed and how much pain I endured! Mind you, I am a bit of a wuss sometimes.

Andy - 5 kids, I'm quite envious as I have none and not sure if I ever will meet the right person and have any - but guess it must be a lot of hard work too.

40sm - still on 4AF but sensible levels since last weekend.

Hope everyone looking forward to a good weekend.

    xx

Edited to add - Biglass, have a lovely holiday and always good to see a word like 'canny' in a post! xx

Ms london - haven't heard from you for a while, how's things?

    Evening all!

Jo - poor you!!! Wisdom teeth are a pain. I'm very lucky in that mine are so far embedded down the dentist say they will never emerge...he muttered something about big gums / big mouth  I hope you are feeling better soon. And what better to make you feel better than a lovely parcel for the fantastic Budgie!

Budgie - you are such a love. What would we do without you? Sounds like your parcel is just what Jo needed!

I'm still very sore tonight - hurts to press light switches etc so am assuming I've jolted everything in my arms by using them to cushion my landing! And the bumps still throbbing. What a mess I am!! Had such a bad couple of days that the wine bells have been clanging madly. Coming home from work I even got off the dual carriageway to go to Sainsburys, then changed my mind and did a U-turn at the next roundabout. Completely mad.

Hope everyone is ok. Fay - hope you haven't hatcheted that supervisor! !

    Miss P
    xx

You must have the big brown Metrodinazole tablets me and WB were given....

Thanks stroppy I can never remember their name!

Jo I so feel for you have been through this several times but it never hurts any less. When I was taking the above I also had amoxycillin at the same time, & cocodamol, no alcohol, no side effects at all though. Three friends warned me off even thinking about wine whilst taking the metroetc's, typically OH said I was bound to be fine to have a glass (he really is a booze bully huh?). Gosh hun I so hope it goes away asap.

Budgie you are the best tonic in the world for poorly peeps! Careful or we'll all be "under the weather"....

Sorry but don't be complacent...had one out last year at ripe old age of 48 having had no previous probs....

Miss P you are the most accident prone / poorly person I've ever known! Hope you stop hurting soon x (Bridgemead Sainsburys or the A420 junction one?):D:D

thanks orchid; it probably is a hay fever thingy, but anti-histamines etc don't seem to help at all, always ends up as sinus infection  (never had hayfever til i moved here a few yrs ago but it can start any time?)
