Jo - maybe the news about your husband's liver might help you with the quitting too. You know all the right things to help him from all the information on here like milk thistle etc. Why is it that men always seem so reluctant to go the doctor? You think if it was bad news they would want to know so they could tackle it. My DH is the same with avoiding doctors.:rolleyes: I hope you manage to get him there for more tests anyway.:)

I think everyone who is cutting down or giving up is doing brilliantly anyway.:T

Yes that is true. I have worked in the local community with people in very poor situations affected by homelessness, prostitution, abuse and some of them never touch drink or drugs even though people could think that their lives could drive them to it as an escape mechanism. Then some people who on the outside seem to have a nice life and enough money and no real worries still drink to excess. (I'm talking about myself here.) I think alcohol problems do seem to effect everyone across the spectrum.

I'm trying to have an AF day today as I drank some wine last night, not too much though.

Afternoon Peeps :hello:

Just been out to buy myself a new phone with my earnings .... (My non alcohol spends ).

It does everything except make the tea for me ..... The instructions are not very comprehensive, so it might do that as well, but have just not figured it out yet :rotfl:.

Pricey ((())) and yesterday is now over and you have to concentrate on today, remember just decide to not drink today. It is such a simple thing to do but I must say it does work. I really cannot believe that I have not had a drink all year so far. I never believed that I could do it but the longer time goes on the longer I am not drinking? You did so very wel in May achieveing your 24 days af :T you are doing well now in June you are on 5/6 which is an excellent result by anyones standards. Dwell on the positives and not the negatives.
