The love story of Ralph and Edna...
Just because someone doesn't love you the way you want them to, doesn't mean they don't love you with all they have. Ralph and Edna were both patients in a mental hospital. One day while they were walking past the hospital swimming pool. Ralph suddenly jumped into the deep end.
He sank to the bottom of the pool and stayed there.
Edna promptly jumped in to save him. She swam to the bottom and pulled him out. When the Head Nurse Director became aware of Edna's heroic act she immediately ordered her to be discharged from the hospital, as she now considered her to be mentally stable.
When she went to tell Edna the news she said, 'Edna, I have good news and bad news. The good news is you're being discharged, since you were able to rationally respond to a crisis by jumping in and saving the life of the person you love. I have concluded that your act displays sound mindedness.
The bad news is, Ralph hung himself in the bathroom with his bathrobe belt right after you saved him. I am so sorry, but he's dead.'
Edna replied, 'He didn't hang himself, I put him there to dry. How soon can I go home?'DFW Nerd no. 496 - Proud to be dealing with my debts!!0 -
Hi Hopeful - good joke! While we're at the butchers....I bet mine he couldn't reach the meat on the top shelf, & he said you're right, the steaks are too high.
115K (esp) & wbf & lurky yours were laugh out loud too!
I had brill nights sleep & feel....total carp. Tired, tearful, fat, ....Hope I buck up before tonight, don't want to be crying into my cava.
Jo, you think your dreams are bad, I was in bed with Billy Mitchell & he wasn't interested ! (Do you think I have a self-esteem problem?)
RA thanks for the list...I got about half-way down (mostly yes one or two no's) before I could genuinely start to say no to them all...so immed my mind turns hopeful thinking I've not really got a problem, but then it occurred to me that saying yes to anything after the first & second ones is looking dodgy.
Still trying to kid myself, as a gut reaction, hopefully the "you are NOT ok with booze at the moment" will continue to kick in..
Hi polaroid! less of the old if you don't mind!
Annie you did so well with 40 days, it's like Lent was over all of a sudden eh? You are sounding very positive about getting back on the wagon tho...get your gun! (groan.......)
(more than I could get Billy to do)

Hi all, Jo I am going tonight as Madonna (the look from the lucky star vid - all black and brooding lol) dh is Axl Rose (bet all the 16yr olds there won't know who he is lol) twins are the Cheeky Girls and DS 7 is Troy from HSM...Hoping to be moderate tonight as it will be a big drinking session party (even the 16yr olds which is pretty alarming) but I will have my kiddlies there and don't usually totally relax till they are in bed...I am looking forward to it as they are a great bunch, we are even taking my neighbour with us who is actually a Robbie Williams tribute act (full time) so it should be fun...Love all the jokes, keep em coming this one is pretty bad...Two peanuts walk into a bar.
