Forgot to say, I rung the docs at lunchtime to see if there was anything I needed to worry about before I got there this evening. Told her I was worried about the results. She had a look and said they still hadn't been read , they've had them since Monday morning!!!

She had a look but said she wasn't a doctor  and couldn't fathom what they were on about

So, spose I'll have to wait till 5.40pm then.....lucky I'm going cos my vertigo has come back today :(

    Hi all,
Back from the blood doning which was touch & go.....the drop from my finger showed my iron levels not high enough so they had to take some from my arm to test in a machine...their acceptable limit is 125 or over & I was bang on 125 so just made it. Does alch affected your iron levels? I stopped taking a supplement a few weeks ago cos the dentist said it was staining my teeth but think I might have to re-start it. I haven't noticed it being mentioned here alongside the berocca etc.?

Anyways, success, & that was my FIFTIETH PINT!! I've got a badge with 50 on it, oh great I can wear it on my birthday this year :D

I wish everyone would stop toadying to Jo :rotfl:thinking of you later (5.40?).

Another bad night's sleep, horrid dreams which made me wake up with a jerk, ( actually OH wasn't here :rotfl:), then I immediately forget them. The owls were having a karaoke night, the dog was chasing rabbits & yipping in his sleep in my room & even the bl00dy goldfish was in on it spitting gravel out which was amazingly loud from downstairs! Then it got light....****** sparrers....

But are we despondent? Just tired!

well done on your 50th pint!! :T

alcohol can affect iron levels, my mum and auntie both have pernicious anaemia (heavy drinkers) - I think it stops the absorption of iron (as well as other nutrients). My mum has just come off her iron injections but my aunt still has them.

Am glad the owls moved on somewhere else - 2 nights ago they were opposite my house down the valley being v loud and flirtatious with each other!!

And Jo if you dont wanna kiss your toad I'll happily do it - am in need of my own Prince Charming - or other with large bank account :rotfl:

BHB Hugs matey but the cat eating the Budgie  now I shall be like Jo and Winebox and I may have a strange dream tonight? Along the lines of the caretaker relaxing in the pool with the crocodile saying: "ITS SNAP TIME" Hey imagine what I used to dream up when I had had a bottle of wine:eek: Best to leave that one I think.

Sorry Budgie ...... Hadn't realised what I had said :D

Fancy me saying that my cat ate you :rotfl::rotfl:

Jo Hope all goes well later.

Fay ... very interested in your willow experiments. We are considering moving to the scottish islands, but the only thing holding us back is the lack of trees. Don't know what I would do without our woodburner. Could do without electric, chips and even curry , but not the woodburner. ....Well ok not the curry :D.

We are also considering planting willow here for coppicing / pollarding for fuel for the stove for future years.

Anyway - belated best wishes for an AF day everyone ....busy busy!

    BHB
    xx

    :T That's great WB.

I haven't even managed one AF day this month yet. I'm really not feeling like doing it for some reason. I have actually been enjoying the summer evenings out with a glass or two.:o

I do definitely want to lose weight this month. I weighed myself and I am huge at the moment! I'm going to put 7 pounds weightloss target for this month on my signature. I'm going to change my target for being AF because obviously I'm not going to be 30 days AF now.

I don't know if it was reading about the alcoholics on the other forums that has made me start drinking again. I kept reading the stories and thinking that I have never been in trouble with the police, never driven drunk, never had any health problems, never ruined my marriage or lost my job due to alcohol. I don't know if reading it has made me feel like my problem with alcohol isn't as bad as other people's?

    Just rambling anyway.:o

    Hope everyone is okay.:A

Thanks for that Nettie...obv. I'm far from being anaemic but it shows I need to back off from my recent drinking levels big-time. Despite my [STRIKE]fairish[/STRIKE] huge consumption this is the first health problem that's been "in my face" (or in this case, my arm) so am taking heed.

Hi 115K sounds like you're enjoying sensible drinking (I wish....) which is great. No need to be af imo if you can stick to "a glass or two" in fact sounds so great guess what I want to do? Not gonna though, not today :eek::eek: don't do it wb!!!
