That's happened to me a few times, I thought it was just me that abused the smilies so had them confiscated :rotfl:

    How's you today?

  • I'm with you on this - looking at my budget and the demotivator I spend around £1500 on alcohol for home alone, and I imagine I spend a hell of a lot more than that on alcohol and associated food, drunken purchases etc whilst out.

I'm going to try to stop drinking as a routine, and just save it for occasions like friends birthdays etc.

Welcome Determined  stick with us and you'll be grand! Good luck :)

Why not join the May challenge, not many days left now but you have a possible 6 AFD's left, or as many as you like, just let Budgie know and she'll add you to the list. 40SM will be scoring next month with a possible 30 days to go AF :D

I bought the Weightwatchers mag yesterday as I'm trying to get OH's weight down and as I lost over 3 stone a few years ago with WW thought he should give it a go. There was an article in there about the increase in women drinking and that most of that is at home and the ads on telly being made purely with women in mind. They mentioned tips for cutting down and said about having 'AFD's'!! Do you think the feature writer has been reading this thread???? :rotfl:

^ That is our idea, how dare they steal it from us.;)

Thanks Jo. I think it will take a while for me to feel the full benefit. I read on another forum yesterday that a lot of people think it takes 2 months of no alcohol until you feel much better. Well done on having 6 days as well!!!

:hello: to Determined13. That is a good point about money saving. I reckon in the last two weeks I must have saved about £5 a day. I should start putting the money I haven't spent on booze away and then I could spend it on something luxurious once a month.

I just had a fleeting craving for a cold beer. I think I will get a can of pop when I go out at lunchtime.

I'm on my 5th very large mug of coffee, feel quite wired

I've been on here all day, no housework or gardening done, curry meant to be in slow cooker too....but Jolson Sings Again is on Film 4 at 1.30pm and I love that film (reminds me of my dear ole dad, god rest his soul :A he used to love Al Jolson), so I HAVE to watch that. Better shove the curry in quick cos film's on for a couple of hours and DD1 and OH will be back soon after and it'll look like I've done nothing all day

Actually to be fair to the hillbillies, I would say that at least 3/4 of our main meals are vegetarian. And its only down to animal welfare that we 'grow our own' meat. We know exactly how the animals are treated, what they eat and how they end their life. If we didn't 'grow our own' we would all be veggie permanently, without a doubt.

    Hello,

sorry not been around too much lately - I've had another AFD yesterday and am planning another tomight too.

it's horrible here - right in the middle of a huge thunderstorm very dark outside, like winter (except it's still about 20 degrees).

Like you Jo, I'm catching up on the housework.
