posted parcels today so – until you actually confess where you live I CAN’T post you chocolate J

Working hard honest mum and on my 4th coffee J

My internet is all funny again. typing backwards – having to put this into word first ………………

Meat eating – agree with BHB that I eat happy meat – can’t produce my own though at the mo so we source good local stuff and don’t eat as much to get quality rather than quantity. A local chicken costs about £6-10 – so to be honest we get it about once a month – but rather that than the badly treated stuff.

As an ex-farmers wife and a self confessed tree hugger eco-type person I think the two can marry well. J

Only posh folks can eat meat everyday – and we aint posh

I can send you snippits of flowers and brambles from the garden, you could sell them??

I'll PM you my address as you keep on at me :)

BHB, I can't see avatars, told the techie people but I think they think I'm clueless with technology and haven't helped at all, their only advice was to 'sign in first'

Just watched Jolson Sings Again and I must say I've only really watched that film (possibly 100s of times) when I'm on my own. I usually get very very drunk no matter what time of day and sob all the way through as it just reminds me of my dad singing and pretending to be Al Jolson, plus he looked incredibily like Larry Parks that plays Al Jolson in the film. It makes me very very nostalgic, I was a daddies girl through and through :)

But, the kids were here running about and making noise so that helped, did have quite a few cravings for drink throughout, amazing the triggers that we didn't even know were there!!

Got to do some housework now and get into a more upbeat mood to beat the cravings that have taken over for the first time in 6 days

    Off to clean.......

Hello  I have been lurking on here for a while and have found lots of inspiration for changing my drinking habits.

What happens with me is I just get into a habit (with dh) of drinking every night and I find it hard to get out of, then I might have an af day which I may then manage to make it to 2 or 3 and am good for a while but the habit creeps back and I end up back to square one quite quickly..

I want to reduce my drinking as I have a very hectic life with my ds 7 and my 3 yr old twins and I just hate it when I wake up after drinking with zero energy and I then have a bad day with the kids...I also want to improve my health and I know a bottle of wine a day is not as much as some, but it is still way over what I should be having and I do suffer for it..

Anyway I managed af days Thu/Fri last week then got a bottle of wine for Saturday and somehow managed to make that last 2 nights, then yesterday went to an afternoon barbecue and had just 2 glasses of wine so I was quite pleased with that - going to try to be af today...

I would love to join your challenge in June so will think about my target...

Sorry to have waffled a lot :o

One the subject of the flower shop, they would probably accept a lower offer, we have just sold a family catering business and due to the current climate have come down massively on what we were originally told it was worth and although we are pleased to be able to move on from it, they have got a real bargain as it is really succesfull...(just not making any money as we made mistakes in the outset with racking up too much debt)

Hope you are all having a good day and thanks so far for all your wonderfully supportive posts, I bet there are loads of lurkers out there making a change by looking on here even if they are not posting!!

    Hiya
The holiday was fab.We went to Majorca...just me and my two girls...(left DH at home to see to his garden...which was a washout LOL)

The weather was brilliant...wall to wall sunshine all day everyday.Mostly around 32 - 35 degrees but on Saturday when we left it was 41 degrees:eek::eek:

We did loads of swimming and lying around.I didn't find not drinking as bad as I thought although I did keep wanting to drink the Sangria...but there was loads of AF cocktails so I drank them, diet coke or water and have come back only 2 pounds heavier.Last time I put on 8 pounds with all the free booze.

So all in all a good time was had and I am feeling very proud as I now know I can do abroad holidays without starting on the brandy as soon as the plane takes off:D:T
Well done on your 6 days Jo.I really hope that you have cracked it this time.
