I am feeling a bit down with the cutting out of alcohol. I think I tend to repress my feelings when I drink so I am getting all these negative thoughts going through my head now it is clear and unfuzzy.:(

It will be day 17 for me today BB.

I have to say as people are mentioning vegetarianism I know of quite a few people that had problems with high blood pressure and high cholesterol and have dramatically reduced their number through stopping eating meat. I do think it is a kinder way of life to the animals and to yourself. If anyone is interested http://www.viva.org.uk/ this website gives you tips on how to change your diet.

 to Molly Polly. Nice to have you back again.

I'm trying to do something nice for myself today, maybe my DH could be persuaded to give me a back rub tonight, although he always seems to want something in return!:p

I hope my post didn't seem lecturing at all about being veggie. I just thought that it might help if people are thinking about making a change and don't know how to go about it!:o:)

    Thanks BHB & FUAS :)

I think I shall become half veggie. I was veggie for 6 years back when I was a teenager after seeing Howard Jones live in concert and him banging on about crualty (sp??) to animals, left the gig and didn't eat meat again, until 6 years later when I got a craving for a Big Mac and didn't look back :rotfl:

Just been getting some ideas over on the OS board about meal planning and turning myself into a 'proper' OS'er as at the moment I'm the complete opposite, I think being veggie will help my finances and OH's waistband no end!

Today though, we shall mostly be eating chicken balti out of the slow cooker  well off a plate but, oh you know what I mean.....

115K, sorry to hear you're feeling down, I think this is normal. I've only quit drinking for that long 2 or 3 times and each time it took around 30 days for me to feel 'normal'. Keep riding the waves, we are alll here for you :)

    xx
