    Hi everyone :hello:
Just updating the list and catching up on the posts, but not so many as the forum has been down today.

Firstly and so importantly. Sea I have just read your post and I am so very upset for you. I cannot imagine what you are going through, the only positive thing that has come from this is that you have realised that you must get help. Gc and others do say that you have to hit your own rock bottom before you reach out for help. You are now there and I pray that you will get the help and support that you so desperately need. I hope that your job remains safe and that your children are with you always. I feel so very upset for you and I wish that there was something that I could do to help? I pray that you can get better and that you are able to turn your life around. I am sure that Gc, Ra, Bis and Eselt will be around to put things into perspective soon. But you must now keep your appointment with the AA and please do post on here to get the support that you need. Sending you a big hug ((())) and lots of love. We all do care please remember that :A xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

To be honest now I feel very flat, it is so sobering to read such heartfelt posts and it makes you realise that life is precious and to be treasured. I have been out for a chinese meal tonight with Mr BB and of course My lovely Darling Son. We all had only soft drinks and the tables across were drinking wine etc, I was fine with my diet coke and now catching up with the posts I am glad I haven't drank, because it does lead you into that false sense of security telling you that it is your friend to be relied on. But it is a too bigger price to pay because the more that you get to rely on this false friend the more that you stand to lose. If when you first picked up that first drink and you were able to look into a crystal ball and forsee just what the cost would be, I am sure that you would tip it down the sink and never depart on the journey that is so full of misery and regret.

I am sorry if I am rambling on but it is because I care about the people on here. Sea's post has really touched me as has Jo's earlier today, both are such wonderful people and I feel sad that they are suffering so much, we want to help them but we feel helpless. Life is so very unfair and we try to do our best, but at the end of the day is that enough? We can only hope that in some small way we have at least given them hope.

    Without hope we have nothing.

I will go and update my list in a little while, it just seems inapropriate to make small talk when our Dear Friends are suffering so much.

    Love you guys
    God Bless :A

I would like to send you all a very big ((())) hug and if we learn anything from our journey on here it is to take nothing for granted and to treasure what we have.

So I have no happy jumping posts tonight as that just doesn't feel right to do. Though well done to everyone that is trying to cut down or give up? It is hard and the journey is very long, we will all keep doing our best and that is all we can do.

Love to everyone but especially: Sea, Dear Jo and Fay. :A xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Molly Polly welcome back when you get to check up on the posts. Hugs xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Budgie is going now because I feel very sad and I just want you all to know that I do care but at times I feel so frustrated, that it is only a few words that I can say and I feel that I should be doing more ..........................

Sorry but it just doesn't seem alot in the scheme of things ....................

Hi all- just a message to sea, and I don't mean this to upset you, I really don't but I think you have reached a crisis and this can be a good thing. To cut a long story short , I found myself in exactly the same situation as you, my OH was in prison for domestic violence for me and my kids, my work was !!!!, my home life was none existant, I drank and drank and eventually my family took my kids away to look after them because I was so wrecked I could'nt, I was a complete wreck. It's taken me 3 yrs to get sober and get my kids back, just for half the week and I used to be their mum full time, but I know I blew it, and they are happy with their dad's, and I am sober, but its going to take a long time I know...........

Sorry to be so pessimistic Sea, but please, please, please get your priorities right, think about your children, think about whether drinking is worth more than your children, think about what others are saying to you- I 'm not lecturing, I just know when my children went to live with their dads for a while I was devastated and it just made me drink more because the little ones gave me a structure to the day, and theres nothing worse than going from big family meals around the table, to noone because you are a drunk. Come on SAD , do it for your little ones, hugs to you.

Good luck everyone else tonight and tommorrow- we can do this.

    Hello everybody

I hope that everyone is feeling OK, especially the lovely people who are having problems at the moment.

I've managed an AF Saturday night, I don't remember the last time I did this. So 18 days now. I'm allowing myself to go off the wagon for one night tomorrow, then jumping back on again on Monday.

Night night everybody, tomorrow is a brand new shiny day.

    Hi everyone

I know...I'm still here lurking. But a couple of posts on here tonight brought tears to my eyes.

Sea - I'm sorry but Eselt is so right. You have reached that crisis point. Please please think about this. You have children, a family. I know I would be devastated if anyone ever decided I was unfit to look after piglet. Please seek help. Now.

Budgie - Please don't feel down. You are a shining light amongst us. Not much else I can say on that score. Except we love you!! I have been lurking, feeling sorry for myself but will be back next month!

((hugs)) to Jo cos she needs them. Hang in there sweetie - vertigo in any form is horrible!

((hugs)) to Fay...just cos I think she's fab and needs them!!

    Sea,

My thoughts are very much with you. I heard many stories when I first went to AA about how people got there and how much of a difference it made to them.

I hope it will give you the help you need as it can offer so much.

If you can possibly arrange it, go to a meeting before Thursday as every moment is precious when you have so much raw emotion running through you - I don't know where you live but there could be other meeting groups earlier than Thursday.

It's times like these I wish I could give a little of my own experience directly to help with the suffering.

That said, I have met so many people who've touched bottom and come out of it far stronger.

When I first came on MSE, yours was one of the first posts that I saw and you helped (though you probably didn't know it) when I was a tender little newbie!

Take care and keep in touch.

    Hi Gang

What can I say that has not already been said so well by everyone.Sea I am so sorry to hear of your "Horrible day" but , as has been said before, the only way now is forward and good luck on Thursday. It seems that it could be your Light bulb moment, so to speak, although not to do with money.

Myself I am up and down really. Had a bbq last night and had a few too many :o. Need to cut down big style so will aim to do that instead of stopping completly. I know that is not for everyone but if it works for me then that is the way I will go.

I do not post often but read everyday.

    Take care

    Hello everyone,
Hey Jo :hello:thanks for asking after me doesnt sound like your having much fun either with your health, Hope your tablets work and you feel a little better today?
I am still no better really....half way through course of antibiotics which dont seem to have made a difference, I feel exhausted all the time, so many symptons tbh they could be related to almost anything.I start to feel a bit better so attempt to do things only for the pain to come back. Being quite an anxious person I have managed to get myself so worked up about this now that half the time I dont know if im making things worse for myself and imagining what terrible things it could be!So to solve this I have had a couple of drinks each evening for the last 3 nights......nothing heavy just enough to try and relax myself a little.
Its just playing the waiting game that gets to me and hospital are being really slow with my scans  Think if I knew what was wrong it wouldnt be so bad!
Ive never been a sickly person as such but at the moment I just feel pathetic and weak which is no good when you have 3 lively children who cant understand why im just sitting here all the time!
Anyway enough about me I hope you are ok and Sea hugs to you too
Hope everyone has a lovely sunny day I shall be plonking my bum in the garden and trying to talk myself in to getting better :D
