    Hi everyone,

Well, that's 10 AF days for me so that's target achieved for the 1st time since I joined in Feb. It was a low target, which I should exceed through AF days next week, but I think the lesson I learned from failing previous months was to set an achievable and realistic target as a cutter-downer.

So - Budgie - expecting jumpies galore please!

On a separate note - Jo, where the devil are you?? Since being a lurker and then a fully signed up member of this group, I've always enjoyed your posts -your honesty and your humour even in tough times. Missing you my friend and hoping you're ok?

    Well done glasgowgirl :T

I agree with you - best to set a lower target and feel dead chuffed when you reach it and even more chuffed when you exceed it, than to aim too high and fail to reach it which can have a negative effect

Indeed, and next month just raise that target up one day, so that will not seem too much, but means more days being AF

I've been drinking tonight. No excuses, just that OH offered me one because he was sympathetic that I was running around like the proverbial blue bottomed thingy after late meeting and knew I would enjoy one (or a bottle). I gave in very easily probably because I know I have lots of opportunities left to meet my target. I know I would have refused if it had been closer to end of month. I'm off now for the (long) weekend and then it's a case of claiming 2 (or more) AF days before Sunday week. I'LL DO IT!!!

Where are you jo??? I worry about you so much when you don't post.

:TWell Done to everyone having an AF day. Every one (and everyone) counts!!!

13th day AF for me today. It is a marathon not a sprint. It seems hard going at the moment. I was very tempted yesterday but I had a nap instead, I'm still so tired.

Depends if you like beer or not but my solution to the sunny garden trigger (and boy is that a big trigger for wanting a drink!) is to have a 0% lager topped up with diet lemonade to make a great alcohol free lager shandy.

    That sounds good. :T
I hope you all have a good weekend.:A

    Morning everyone :D

Maman you will do it, I know you will - only 2 days next week and you've reached your target :D

Tough week ahead for me with lots of temptation in the way, but I hope to squeeze in another couple of AF days along the way

    Morning all

No bank holiday up here so its business as usual :)

Hope everyone is grand - I have my OH turning up tonight which normally drives me to drink (bad joke but true!!) so I am a bit worried but will endeavour to stay strong :) I hope - course in the evening and then it finishes after the shops close so I should be OK if I can avoid shops until course starts at 7.30 - phew!

Hugs to you all AF, bit more AF then before or cutting down :) - brand new shiney day - I remind myself of that every day I wake up - there's only today to get through. :) (in a positive way not a drudgy way)

    Morning all :o

Sorry I've been AWOL, thanks to those that asked after me :o:o

I'm staying away from the thread for a few days, been a bit low and need to sort my head out. Sorry I didn't tell you I was off but didn't want to do a poor me post. Just had a quick look to see how you're all doing, been looking at the other threads but trying to keep away from this one as I don't want to keep thinking about how much I drink, when I need to drink, when I've drunk etc etc...

Anyway, the good news is I managed an AFD yesterday, but I shall still keep away today.

    Well done everyone!!
