Lovely sootypea, and that book stand is gorgeous Claire Bear!

Sootypea, do you find the paper wrinkles when you varnish it? I've just had that problem today, really frustrating :(

Done another little make over today - bought this cheese dome at the car boot last week and have CK'd it. Can't decide whether to keep or sell! There are a few more photos if you scroll through my flickr.

Janebo12, of course! I got the idea somewhere else anyway, so I can't take the credit for them :)

Thanks BibbityBob, it's really heavy and worn and old :) Can you PM me the link to your blog as well please?

I just ordered the Cath Kidston magazine and a sample of blue strawberry fabric for my patchwork quilt, all the other ones I tried to add came up with an error message so I think they ran out? There was some oilcloth ones left but am I right in thinking it's the tough shiny PVC sort of stuff? Don't think that would go very well in a blanket

Watered down pva to glue it on? Or to coat it afterwards? Does that not wrinkle the paper? Sorry for all the questions!

Laura Ashley have an extra 10% off items that are already reduced by 50% plus free delivery until tomorrow. Have been looking for a new ironing board cover for ages and just got this one reduced from £22.00 to £9.90 delivered. They have some nice shabby chic bits and pieces, including that lovely wallpaper that someone posted earlier (sorry can't seem to backtrack to the exact post). Also don't forget quidco (8%).

How do you order fabric samples? I've looked but couldn't work out how and I would like a few so I can decide which fabric I want for my kitchen curtains.

hi to all you shabby peeps!
well, quite new to this thread, but wanna share what ive been up to this weekend...
bought at a local carboot 2 x pictures, really horrid and faded nasty pictures of a bottle of brandy and a walnut, but the frames were lovley, more frame than picture, chunky pine, £1 for the two, bargain! so after sanding, painting etc, i now have 2 beautifull frames, found some lovley wall paper at my local d.i.y shop which im gunna use in my frame, and the rest to line the drawers of my next project....
will post a pic when finished.
thankyou all for your wonderfull ideas!
3 wonderfull kids :female::female::male:, 1 fab hubby  , 2 beautifull cats and 1 very large dog = my family!
