Hello Shabby Chic ladies,
Does anyone know where I can get this 'HOME' sign from.
Beautiful dresser Tiff, stunning.
Thanks x
Those are MDF letters I bought separately on Ebay. I cant remember the sellers name but there are lots. They come unfinished and you can paint them, I painted mine cream as they were on my fireplace and just turned them around now that theyre on the dresser.

A quick question for you all, i know the beuro i did well i sanded it down undercoated then had about 3 coats of eggshell , however i can see its going to be easy to chip the paint already and ive only moved it once !, how do u stop this happening ? i top coat with clear varnsih ?
Thankyou
I dont know, I know that because I used water based paint that it rubs off quite easily but I like the distressed look so once that starts to happen I'm going to sand it here and there to distress it a bit! (I love your spelling of bureau btw)

Im worrying about chipping cos im thinking of doing a table and chairs set which will get lots of daily use, i dont mind the odd chip but i want to try and minimise it as much as poss ......... hmm maybe time for a experiment !0

Have you considered leaving the top wood and painting the legs? I restained the wood on my dresser with a coloured wax. I'm sure there is some sort of finish you could use though to protect the paint, no doubt someone more in the know will be along soon!“A budget is telling your money where to go instead of wondering where it went.” - Dave Ramsey0

Hey ladies,
Just a quick note - the Cath Kidston style cushions from Wilkos that we were discussing the other week are now all half price (in the Liverpool store anyway)
Also - Lewis in Liverpool are selling off all their curtain samples for a £1 (the mini curtains they have to show you the fabrics) - some really nice decent quality material and the pieces were quite big too (probably about a metre and a half wide by 2 metres ish). Not worth a trip but if your in the area...
*beingfrugal* - where did you get that from for 50p - you've done a really good job. I can always find loads of cheap accessories but right now I need furniture and just can't find any bargains at all!
xxxJust started cashback-ing - makes me feel less guilty when I impulse buy!0
