Im worrying about chipping cos im thinking of doing a table and chairs set which will get lots of daily use, i dont mind the odd chip but i want to try and minimise it as much as poss ......... hmm maybe time for a experiment !
Did you leave a day between each coat of paint? I ask just because, if a good quality eggshell paint is left to dry between coats, then the end finish is usually quite robust, I did my dresser 2 years ago and have only needed a very light touch up of tiny chips on the corner of the doors.
For your table and chairs I would recommend leaving the seat and tabletop natural and protecting it with danish oil. You can always re-sand and re-oil as needed on very heavily used surfaces.0 -
I am a big Cath Kidston fan and have just ordered a few (stationery) bits from Amazon. I was surprised at how comparatively cheap some things are. I ordered one of her Home Journals for £9.99 (free p&p) and these are selling for a lot more elsewhere.
I am now about to go through this thread and enjoy. Thanks.0 -
