Yesterday I was in homebase and I picked up some frames for myself for my birthday (very cheap, spent £20 on 5 frames). When I was looking at their crockery my kids chose themselves a shabby chic cup each. £1.48 for bone china and it was 10% off, well impressed!

I have one of those that I use as a nappy bag for my daughter! Lovely aren't they?

Went to the (new) tip near where my SIL lives today, she'd been raving about it. Found so much furniture I wanted for painting up but was restrained as we're moving soon and DH would have gone

Did buy a lovely green painted cast iron mug tree and a homemade roman blind (for the fabric, which I've already mostly unpicked, looks like it may once have been a duvet cover). Pink with red polka dot on one side and pinky check on the other (as in two layers). Lots of plans for that lol, (cushion covers and bunting etc) but any suggestions welcome.

  • I'm off to an antiques fair tomorrow. I'm really looking forward to it and I hope it doesn't rain. Please wish me luck for the inevitable haggling as I usually bottle it and just pay the ticket price :o

It was good, thanks. I was after a narrow cupboard/chest to go in the bedroom but I didn't find one. I did pick up a few bits of vintage linen which I'm going to cut up and make into other stuff. I've just found out there's another one on next weekend, a much bigger fair a bit further away. Lovely bargain hunting here I come :j
