just watched it on i player and am not totally convinced - seemed very expensive for second hand planks !!

But moving on - I got a small wooden table from freecycle last night that I am planing an renovating and using as a pc table instead of my old beach effect chipboard rubbish - but that old thing has so much storage space on it i don't know where i will put everything .

I am thinking of adding some shelves above the desk with wicker baskets and tins for storage but shelving is so expensive .

does anyone have any tips for finding really cheap shelving materials ? ( becuase dh siad i could as long as I dont spend too much and i want to save the spends for pretty things )

You could try a local scaffolding company for old scaffold planks.

I don't think I've posted on here before but do keep coming back for a read.
This week I was lucky enough to be freecycled a lovely Queen Anne chair, Parker Knoll no less. Probably not the easiest for a newbie but I intend having a go at reupholstering it.
After I have finished the garden.

My neighbour has just told me about a patchwork class she runs on a Monday night. It sounds lovely and while I know how to sew I've never done any patchwork, so I think I'll have to go along and try it out, there would be no end to the shabby chic things I could make!

I had been waiting months for the Tesco quilt cover to be reduced as I couldn't justify 12 pounds so when I saw Madkittys post I had a look, shame they were sold out of the double but managed to grab a single which I will re make into a double, also got a fluffy sheet for 1.79. Am going to pick them up tomorrow and am really pleased, will finish of my bedroom nicely:T:T:T
