Thanks everyone, I've kind of got addicted to furnishing this way now. I mentioned this before but my MIL was going to buy a similar dresser for her house in Ireland and was going to spend £2500 on it but now cant bring herself to pay that after seeing mine!

Sorry about the lighting, its a bit dark here today. This is the 80's pine dresser I bought from a charity warehouse for £85. My Step Dad painted it with Laura Ashley paint and stained the top of the dresser base. I'm really pleased with it!

I am completely new to this thread and getting a bit bouncy and excited. I love revamping stuff. I currently have two parker knoll fireside chairs that I want to revamp. Please tell me more about Elan Bach, I live in Mid Wales and would love to get some nice material for recovering.

I haven't read this thread since last year but now Summer is rolling around again I'm starting to think what projects I can get stuck into while I still have the enthusiasm!

So, to answer your question cherisong, Elan Bach used to have a shop at Llangoed Hall which closed last year, they were opening up a new shop in Builth but I haven't been to this shop and don't know if they sell the offcuts. Might be worth a phonecall or look at the website?

I love all the pictures and ideas that have been posted recently, now I'm off to read the thread from where I left off last year.

I'll post some more pics tomorrow of some pedestal tables I painted. I bought them on Ebay for £2 in waxed pine and spray painted them black. I will be painting them white or pale grey gloss this summer though as black shows every speck of dust and they are so hard to keep clean. They are next to our bed and look so much better than the bedside cabinets we bought from MFI 12 years ago!
