    Sorry about the lighting, its a bit dark here today. This is the 80's pine dresser I bought from a charity warehouse for £85. My Step Dad painted it with Laura Ashley paint and stained the top of the dresser base. I'm really pleased with it!

    I was just trying to upload to photobucket but thats turning out to be a pain.

    Thanks midnightraven, the paint is Laura Ashley pale linen. I'm not sure how durable its going to be as their paint is water based. I've had it in my dining room since November and its been fine.

    hmmmmwater based wont be any good for me
    this one will be used everyday, and needs to stand up to that
    but yours is really lovely
    it was the other shabby chic thread that inspired me
    i spent one afternoon reading the whole thing!

    I would maybe try a farrow and ball paint then or any other eggshell finish. There are quite a few painted ones on Ebay that tell you which paint they used.
