Welcome jellybaby21!!! No idea how to strengthen drawers but I'm sure someone will be along soon with the answer.
I am so excited!! I got a Mason Cash large mixing bowl yesterday in a CS for £1.50!!! Perfect condition too! I have wanted one of these forever (but was too stingy to pay the RRP of about £12!) and am so happy to have got one at last. :j:j:j:j:j:j I wonder who would give something like that away??
Now all I need is a Kitchenaid Patissier mixer and I'm set. :rotfl:Get to 119lbs! 1/2/09: 135.6lbs 1/5/11: 145.8lbs 30/3/13 150lbs 22/2/14 137lbs 2/6/14 128lbs 29/8/14 124lbs 2/6/17 126lbs

Have you been to the Emma Bridgewater Factory shop in Stoke on Trent.... you can often find some bargains there in their seconds shop
they sell seconds online!!
http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/Outlet/Union-Jack/icat/outunionjack
http://www.emmabridgewater.co.uk/Outlet/icat/foutlet
It is about a third of the price off the RRP.
They also have sales on so even cheaper then. I got a 1/2 pint mug for a fiver the other day!!
I go every payday!
They also do factory tours, really interesting but you do need to book.
I have had a few vintage type signs from here on ebay

I don't remember them doing on-line but you can certainly ring up and ask if they've got something you want and they'll post it to you from the factory shop.
We've been to their Open Days in August and they're a fantastic day out. They do the factory tours, plate decorating, a fantastic lunch and then a big seconds sale. I've combined with an overnight stay and then a day out somewhere else like Alton Towers or Cadbury World (children loved the plate decorating but loads of adults doing it as well).0 -
Just a thought lolly that unless you've got your heart set on EB copies then Cath Kidston mugs are really great value - about £5 each and in lots of different designs. The tea towels aren't a bad price either. If you don't have a Cath Kidston shop then your lovely new John Lewis should have them. And kezlou, I think these mugs and some of the really bright tea towels should do the trick in your pale kitchen too.0 -

My sister organised my Hen Party afternoon as an outing to paint pottery - I have a breakfast set that is beautiful and makes me smile when I see it ( 10 year anniversary this year - yikes!! ) - have also been back to paint other bits and do baby foot prints etc The pottery painting there is nice as it is the EB shapes that you can paint - they have sponges to use if you are a bit nervous with a brush!
On the website there is an outlet section showing seconds - but at the shop there are lots more to choose from
If you spend £100 you become part of the members club - newsletter and advance notice of sales etc
They do a monthly special offer too - for instance a while back it was the seconds 10 inch plates in hearts polka dots or black toast - 6 plates for £40 whereas the usual seconds price is £11 each........whenever I have been or phoned they have been rally helpful and I have ordered online and their packaging is brilliant
Oh if only I lived closer !!:rotfl:
I will try and post a picture of the 'dresser' / cupboard without doors that I have painted and now houses my Emma Bridgewater collection !:jPobodys Nerfect:j0 -
Ok - some of these are a bit out of sync but here goes...
Polystyrene letters - Have you tried HobbyCraft? I know the one at bridgemere sells them so maybe others do too?
Union Jack - TKMaxx in Liverpool today had a lot of lovely union jack cushions - I took a photo of them but not quite sure how to upload, they also had a fair amount of other ShabbyChic things including some mini wooden american petrol pump things (that I really want!)
They also had something that looked like mini-doll houses but didn't open, very strange but they seemed to have a lot of them - can anyone enlighten me as to whether they actually have a purpose or if they are just supposed to look pretty?
Went into Cath Kidston today also - very tempted to buy either the SEW or MAKE books but they are pretty steep at £15 - has anyone tried them - are they worth it?
xxxJust started cashback-ing - makes me feel less guilty when I impulse buy!0 -
