    If you're going to paint it, you could use something called ESP (easy surface preparation) which you paint onto the object. It gives the surface a key so that the paint can adhere to it. It's not as money saving, but you'd avoid the dust problem.

    Do post pics of your kitchen. I'm sure we can help you with some ideas. :)

    Wow, fab dresser!

    I agree re Cath Kidston designs, it's only really the old roses vintage prints that I like, and you can get similar elsewhere for less these days.
    I have had many Light Bulb Moments. The trouble is someone keeps turning the bulb off :o

    I was doing my cleaning job for one of my clients last week, when she told me to clean round some stuff she was taking to a jumble sale.

    To my delight there was a vintage Kenwood Chef. Over 30 years old and in cream and pale aqua trimmings. It came with two stainless steel bowls and works perfectly. It is now in pride of place in my kitchen.

  • oo thats gorgeous!! Would fit my kitchen perfectly! Have at last finished my quilt and will post a piccy when done...alas a disaster though as it was too small so am going to give this one to my mum (who has been a star of late) and will do me another! This one took 2 yrs though so dont hold your breath lol!!
