wss it did take ages but only cos I didnt touch it for a year and a half! I recon with concerted effort I could have done it in a month! Have designed the next one myself and got the fabric so will start the ironing and cutting later! There was a lesson learned though with this one...it was meant to be for my double bed and when I got the fabric it was measured up and on I went. Friend said it was too big so took some off but didnt check! Continued to make it up, finished, washed and ironed and put it on the bed...and it didnt fit!!! Yup gutted but now I've got my head round it my mum will have this one (and I know will treasure it) because its perfect for a single bed and I'm making another. Moral of the story is measure, measure and measure again!!
For those who may be considering making one I used moda charm packs (precut squares) and cheapie calico for cream and backing so while it looks complex its actually a very easy quilt...next one is more difficult as its a cobbled effect with more pattern but again moda! If anyone wants any basic (and I mean basic) instructions or has questions please feel free to pm me!

Wonderful quilt!:T You should be so proud of yourself!

Can anyone tell me (in dummies style) how to take photos and put them on here. I am not exactly shabby chic, but do have quite a bit of vintage bits and bobs and charity shop finds, plus furniture I have done up to share.

    Thanks.
