At long last I can show you pics of what I've been up to. Apologies to Vicki who has already seen it all.

Before pic mirror 99p from Ebay

And after- what you probably can't see is the paint work isn't that good. The paint hasn't taken very well. I may revisit this at some point and see if I can get it to take a bit better.

Before is on the right just incase you're wondering! The fabric is left over from the curtains and is a temporary fix until I decide on a colour scheme.

No before pic of the table but I did post here at the time because again it only cost 99p. Please excuse the absolutely foul carpet it was here when we moved in honest!

DDs room just because I love it. No before pic because the OH has it hidden somewhere on the pc.

Will post some of my other painted cupboards tomorrow.

Looks lovely Vicki. If you don't want it as display how about putting some plywood or whatever in the gap and adding some thin strip wood in a cross to match the bottom.
  • OOOOH Vicki, I really love that corner unit,it looks gorge

as you don't want it as a display cabinet could you not replace the glass with a piece of wood like hardboard ,fancy it up with some "moulding" or whatever its called and then paint it to match ?
