No I have the Ikea ones already - don't think it's those. Yes JCR that's exactly the sort of thing I had in mind, it's quite exciting waiting to see what it is.

I just hope it isn't another "oops - I seem to have dropped it and now it's broken" sales that seem to always fall through when you get a bargain. It's happened twice to me in the last year, people are so clumsy lol!

i can imagine how frustrating that must be.

i know when we got our table from ebay. we never imagined it would got for the starting price of 9.99. anyway when we turned up at the chaps house. it was a massive house ( stunning) and he said the table cost him £1k and was shocked it sold for starting bid, but what just grateful it was going to a family who would benefit from having such a big table. but i kept thinking something was gonna go wrong and he was gonna pull out of the sale.

I know how disapointing it is when an item sell for less than you hoped but that's the risk you take if you start it at a low price. You got a bargain with the table then didn't you?

yes we did, we love it. for our needs it is perfect. you can seat 10 around it and still have room to move, although it more comfortable to seat 8. for us big family meals at a table is very important . every night we have a family meal at the table and at weekends we always have extra family members round for a meal. our table never gets a rest, lol.

Top coat of F&B Ringwold Ground now applied. My old pine furniture is totally transformed. I'm thrilled to bits. Next I/m going to do the kitchen cupboards with, I think, Laura Ashley biscuit colour. Its so inspiring when things go right.

I've been busy painting today. I've finished all the paint on the corner unit:
SDC13668.jpg?t=1282244167 Excuse the towel draped over the bannister!
    SDC13672.jpg?t=1282244246SDC13674.jpg?t=1282244291

I'm planning on giving it a coat of varnish and then distressing it a bit - but that can wait until I have less to get finished. I'm still undecided about the glass door. I don't want it to be a display cabinet so I could put wallpaper behind the leaded glass, or replace with persepex and put paper behind, or the cheapest option would be to cover a bit of cardboard or hardboard with wallpaper and pop that in instead, but for now it's considered finished.
