    Hi all,
Just a quick hello to say loving the kitchen, union jack desk and wardrobe makeovers as well as the quilt and little box!

I would love to finish my 3 other chairs this weekend - anyone got tips on how best to do it? 1st chair was ok, but I know I could perfect it with expertise from here!

Just standard seat pads that lift out from chair and I need to staple the new material on once new foam and wadding is on.

Another lovely bread basket, I might get around to making one myself.

I've been busy painting the final 3 dining chairs today, unfortunately the girls played happily by themselves which has led to the house looking like we've been burgled. I'm having a quick coffee before I start dinner which is a reheat of last nights leftovers. Think I've remembered how I can upload some pics so if I can I will post before and after pics later.

Hope your back is better now, have you sorted out your sewing arrangement?
Looking forward to seeing your chairs - you'll be starting the kitchen before you know it!

I tried the place on the industrial estate and they didn't have ESP, the man there said that he thinks BIN is better, plus it's white so gives you a head start... I just don't like how painting with BIN is like painting with treacle and drags as it dries to quicky, he thinks that a touch of meths shoud sort that out, so now I don't know whether to buy more BIN or he said he can get some ESP in the next working day, costs just under £25.

So while I was deciding I thought I'd see how the International Wipe on Multi Surface Primer fared with the water based F&B eggshell on the corner unit that Shirlgirl gave me...

    Still with me??

And it's going well so far, it leaves a sticky, shiny very smooth surface which dries in 90 mins and then you can paint. The eggshell went on no probs and seems to be staying put. Have done two coats so far and will probably need 2 more.

How much did you pay for the International Wipe on Multi Surface Primer? I went in and only found one tin with a reduced sticker for £4. The SEL still said £8 or whatever. When I took it to the till it was £3.Wasn't sure if mine was reduced because it had leaked because the tin looked sticky. If the bargain IWMSP is working I'd stick with that.

My back is fine now thanks and for now I have the dressing table in the corner of the room (by the rocking horse) but I'm looking for something else to use. Not sure what though, if you see anything lese please let me know.

I think the 3 chairs will still need another coat tomorrow. Despite the number of lights in the room the light is really bad so I can't see that well and pics aren't coming out too well because I'm using my phone camera. Will try tomorrow.

I can't decide whether to start on the kitchen or that hall cupboard next? I finished the mirror this morning as well. :j

I paid £5 - I took both tins to the till as I thought the battered can might be cheaper but it was £5 too. I left that at the till so they must have knocked a bit more off when they put it back. Neither can had a price on at the time, glad you found the other tin, it was about £12 I think in Homebase.

Souns like you've been hard at it today, looking forward to seeing the results!
