hi danemi I am by no means an expert I'm still learning myself, but have you checked that the bobbin has actually clicked into place? Also check the bobbin thread end is to the right before you try to catch it up.Does that make sense?Sorry if not:o
eta you could ask in the sewing room thread as they will know for sure.:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

I use thicker cotton sheets and 2oz wadding and it is a light throw type quilt, ideal on the back of the sofa or just as a topper on the bed
It is hard to find good sheets but my CS seems to have loads come in every now and then so I call in a lot :rotfl:

danemi, this is how I do mine, there is a bit of a knack!
Hold the end pf the upper thread (that is through the needle) in your left hand with light tension.
Slowly turn the wheel (on the right hand side of the machine) anticlockwise or towards you until the needle goes down
As it starts to come up again pull the thread in your left hand gently while continuing to turn the wheel.
You should see teh other thread pop through, I usually use something to poke it out under the foot.
I don't know if that is the way your machine works but it's worth a go! Good Luck x0 -
You have had some great advice there, may I add a little footnote? I am sure you have already checked this, but, when you take your bobbin out make sure that it is running free when you pull it, if not that could be why it gets tight and snaps. If it snaps when you pull it then it needs a very tiny turn of the screw to help release it a little, your friend will probably be able to help more if I haven't been clear.
I do hope you get to like your machine. Good Luck0 -
Not quite shabby chick, but as its for decorating a boys bedroom, this is the bunting that I made yesterday, for a little boys birthday party today. And his gift bag.
