JL send requests to the fabric manufacturer for samples so the size depends on the supplier - for example I got larger than a4 sized samples of voyage fabric but the Designers Guild one was about 2 inches by 24 so not very useful either to use in a project or get an idea of the pattern to see if its what you want!People seem not to see that their opinion of the world is also a confession of character.

Looking at the latest Waitrose Spring/Summer catalogue [free instore] there are some lovely shabby chic type photos esp of bedrooms which might be good for inspiration and no outlay required so meets the OS remit:rotfl:

Would it be wrong to complement you on your jugs?
Sorry couldn't help myself!
I picked up a 1950's tea trolley today that I won for 99p on ebay.
The bloke that sold it looked a bit choked up as he parted with it, said it belonged to his parents. I promised to look after it. I'm considering not painting it because of that.
Am I being too sentimental?
You could just polish it up to bring back the wood quality a bit, but 'looking after' something surely suggests caring for it & enjoying it.
That's a good trolley - does the side come up to make it a table?
I've painted two trolleys, one was rickety so I cut down into a side table:

the other holds a lot of my sewing stuff:
