Oooh that made my day seeing some photos on here!
Those chairs are gorgeous EssexGirl (I'm an EG too btw!). Did you cover them with the Argos duvet?
Claire - a sewing machine changes your life, If you don't already then you have to pop onto the sewing thread, it's so inspirational.
Twinkles, I can't wait to see your cabinet either!

I popped back to B&Q today as I saw on the grabbit board that the CK tins of emulsion are now £1 and picked up 4 more tins of linen white, which I have no idea what I'll use it for but we do have a number of white walls upstairs and a toddler with a penchant for felt pens so I am quite confident that we'll be using it all up!
  • EssexGirl, your chairs are gorgeous! I've got some dark oak chairs in the loft which have got delightful brown vinyl seat pads, yuk! I keep meaning to paint them up but there are so many things I want to do they never seem to get done. I have no excuse really as I have some F&B paint, some fabric and a shiny new staple gun to try out. This week whilst the sun is shining and I can do it outside, definitely! Thanks for the inspiration :D
Cos I don't shine if you don't shine.

Twinkles, sorry for putting temptation in your way :D I can't wait to see your kitchen unit. We had 2 of those when I was a kid & I loved them. Sadly we had to leave them behind in a move. I hope they got looked after and not dumped.

Vikki, no the fabric on the chairs is CK. I bought the duvet cover for a dress and some other bits. LOVING your kitchen. I have a galley too, that's 3rd down on my rooms to do list..

Mollymunchkin, do it while you have the enthusiasm!

The Essex Girls are ding well what with gorgeous chairs and a fantastic kitchen refurb. I'm an EG too.

I keep meaning to take pics of my bits. I painted the legs of the table I won on Ebay for £1 and also bought a solid oak bedside chest for £2.70 which I painted. Yesterday I won a table and 6 chairs on Ebay for £26 but paid £10 to have them delivered. I didn't really want the table just the chairs. They will need recovering so I need to find a neutral but not easily dirtied fabric. I don't want floral, I'm thinking a stripe so if anyone has used something recently that might be suitable please point me in the right direction. I also won a sewing box with a little table above which I'm going to paint (cost £1.04). Just got to find the time!

Oooh ShirlGirl, I'm looking for a dining table. I want a round one that extends with a pedestal leg. If yours fits the bill and you're mid essex I'm interested!

Have you seen Deckchairstripes? They've got a fab range of stripey fabric and they will send you samples.

It's the Essex Girl's take over! Might get back onto ebay and have a poke around for bargains. Although I really should be getting on with other stuff as the housework won't do itself lol
