Your bag is gorgeous and I love your quilt too! I was wondering whether you could point me to your blog please as I'd love to try the bag and also have saved lots of material for a quilt. Thanks :D

Here's what I've been tinkering with today, some of the bits I cut out last year, the rest I just sort of cut by eye today (I'm the worlds worst for not pressing/measuring/cutting properly....It adds to the shabby chich effect though :D). It's currently about 4.5ft x 3ft, I've got some kitsch animal shapes to applique on to some plain panels which I'll attach randomly and then a plain border to match the backing fabric, to attach.....going to recycle an old 4.5tog duvet for the wadding.......

What do you think.......(I should add that it's all made from free fabric - stuff from freecycle or bits that have been donated to me)

Looks lovely Pooky...if I ever get organised I would like to do something like this.....light duvet as wadding is a good idea as it probably means that you can put the lot in the washing machine.

Being organised is something I'm not when it comes to craft stuff - I get the urge and have to act there and then or it sits in the drawer for another year.
