It cost £1.20, lunch out & plenty of petrol as it was one of my E-bay 'bargains'. I MUST check the location setting and a map before biddingI can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Just sand it to roughen it up a bit then paint with your eggshell. You only need a primer if you're painting on bare wood.
If you are painting on something that has a finish on it already like varnish or wax, it is better to use a primer/undercoat or if it gets a whack, your topcoat will chip. Most undercoats come with primers already in them. I have done this before and was terribly cross when it chipped.:D0 -
Gosh you have all been so busy. They are beautiful and well & truly worth it.:D0 -
Here is a bag I made today. I like it so I am sharing. Details on my blog but if you google making a bag I am sure that better tutorials than mine will show up:D It's very OS as it's made from a pillowcase from a charity shop plus a bit of calico.0

aww thanks gangsta...just what I needed after going to friends to "sandwich" the quilt only to discover the calico is "short" and I put the edge on (but wasnt meant to!) so have got to unpick two rows plus take all the border off...ahhh! I'm really chuffed with it and its very "me"...not too fussy but wil be fab when all the stitching one (by hand) for the quilting...many months away!
Love the bag - did you make the quilt under it too? Very frugal of you!! Must try things like that too but quilt taking all the energy I have at the moment! btw where is linky to your blog? Cant find one in your profile...Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
