    hi there shabby chic ones, just popped on to say that it might amuse you that one ebay seller is trying to tempt you lot, but has some erm... spelling issues and is offering a:

    I need your help, I am looking for 5 shabby chic frames about the size of a4 for my daughters bedroom, any idea where I can them from?

    ikea, car boot, charity shops or somewhere like the range or even freecycle? Love the chubby stool but dont think it would do for my rather large posterior!! I saw a gorgeous knitting needle holder yesterday and was very good and didnt buy it cos I really can make that for minimal cost - they wanted 21!! Knitting coming on nicely and am quite chuffed with myself!

    If you fancy a bit of shabby-chic D-I-Y find the right size frames in a charity shop, rough them up a bit with sandpaper (just to key it rather than remove the entire surface) and paint them.

    I use vinyl silk if I'm skint, or Farrow & Ball oil eggshell if I'm flush. If the item started out very dark I'll use primer or white emulsion as an undercoat.

    The finished front panel.....decided not to put my animal applique on the front but will add them to the back panel...I'm very pleased with it considering it's a real throw together.
