Lol, I'm the same with red gingham ;) Thank you.

Hi everyone, I've been reading this thread for a while and wanted to ask a question. Would you choose a piece of furniture with lead strip effect on the glass to give the shabby chic treatment? I'm not a lover of the lead strip thing and at worst I could replace the glass but obviously it would be more MSE not to.

£25 is way too expensive for this table BUT it would look gorgeous all painted up!

I would say it should have cost £8 max.

I am so glad you said that. I thought £8 -10 would be reasonable. I also tought it would look lovely painted up in nice muted colour

Oh well, I will keep looking

I keep forgetting to tell you my brother in law works at the little green paint company, and we have used this paint as he gets a big discount. It is wonderful to work with and very hard wearing. He has brought home the wall paper sample books. I am looking for something for the bed room but really wanted something like the old Next sweet pea paper any one remember it ? and have you seen anything similar lately.

I hope everyone got on better than me at the car boots this morning - all I came back with was more tan lines and a very sore, sunburnt back!

As well as a pair of rather burnt shoulders despite being caked in factor 30, I got:

Pretty tea cup & saucer set: £1
Shabby rose print photo frame: £1
    White wooden photo frame: 50p

so i got 2 of the things from my list! :T
Also got 2 summer skirts, some New Look heels, and a BN strapless New Look bra :)

    What did everyone else get?
Was surprisingly quiet at my one!

    Hi everyone :D
The last 2 days I have been finishing my CS chest of drawers :j
I also managed to paint a photo frame and put a little wooden heart on it after covering it with a C K tissue and I painted the little wooden box I brought from the CS.
They are not perfect but Im just happy its all done so I can now store my fabric and bits :D.
I have pic's on my blog if anyone wants a look :D

Im now sitting with my feet up and embroidering a sample pic to frame up :D

hart44 your drawers look amazing. Well done you. I bet you are really proud. :T

Your picture frame looks good too. I have covered a tisse box using the napkin method but it doesn't look as good as yours as it is very wrinkled; although I'm warming to it as I have convinced myself it looks slightly crackle glazed!! lol
