Kandipandi, gorgeous items, particularly love the clock!lol at your hubby.+There's been some fab photos recently.I went to a cs (well 4 actually but who's counting)today and picked up a really pretty side plate and a sweet little wooden cabinet (which could be a keyholder box or jewellary box)it's a dreadful silver/purple but I have plans for it.
I was also really naughty yest and went into my fave local shabby chic shop called leaf street and brought some funky wrapping paper which I'm considering framing and a washroom sign.I could happily spend hours in there but my hubby and kids have other ideas!lol

I also very much like your wallpaper, can I ask where it is from?
Thank you - I was looking at laura ashley and tallantyres and found this which I preferred it is from the very elegant shop Wilkinsons :rotfl: this is it, £7.99 a roll.
I hope you find your clock, I would love one too!You can stand there and agonize........

Wow, some fab makeovers on here ladies! I'm glad this thread has become so lively, it's very inspirational.
I thought you might like to see a before and after of my kitchen. The first photo is the one from the estate agent's brochure when I bought it, and the second was taken last weekend.
I removed the tiles then boarded the walls, then I painted the cupboards and my ex gave me the leftover tiles from our bathroom. I worked out that it cost me £118 altogether, not bad for a new kitchen!

There's a bit more colour around the other side - pink crockery on my plate rack and pink & green kitchen towels, flowers and carrier bag holder.0 -

Very impressive Bibbitybob...you have done marvelously, and for very little money considering the massive change! :T0 -
Bibbitybob what a difference!Your kitchen is lovely,is it normally that tidy?My kitchen is tiny with v little worktop space-nightmare.My new kettle turned u today as I brought it to go on the hob as my electrical one takes up too much space.
By the way I love your blog, such great work!:female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Ooh I love the idea of a hob kettle, does it take long to boil?
I do try to keep the kitchen tidy, with it being so small it looks a mess very quickly! Two dirty plates usually fill the counter top :rotfl: can't wait until we move and OH knocks a wall down to make me a nice big kitchen :T0 -
That is so my problem too!No space at all,one meal and it looks like a bomb has hit it!lol.
I've only tested it quickly and it does take longer but that's 'cos it's a huge one (2.1litre).It's like a racing green and it looks great so I'm prepared to wait a little longer for my cuppa;):female:Our 2 gorgeous little girls born 2006 and 2010

Thank you too. What you can't see in either picture is the ceiling...just found this photo to show you
We ripped it down and found that the flat roof had been leaking and made a giant hole in the existing plasterboard  it got fixed eventually (although I spent a winter with no ceiling or central heating, brrr) though and is much higher and lighter now.
ETA: If you remember the photo of my hall you might notice just how much the last owners liked the colour brown lol!0 -
