Im really pleased with myself today as yesterday i finished redoing my loydd loom chair. Ive painted it white and i found some lovely upholstery fabric for the seat which i tacked on and used the original cushion as a template...im very pleased with it as ive never done a chair before. It has pride of place in my bedroom now . Ive also made a couple of pink gingham hearts from the John Lewis samples. Oh and i almost forgot the old desk (it was a 1970`s medium brown colour) that i got off freecycle...that has been shabby chic`d with white paint and pale blue knobs, and is now in my craft room and has my sewing machine on it.

Well, back from an unproductive days trawl of shops. I went to my local recycling shop and was umming and ahhing over a little sewing box (£5) whilst I was thinking about it I headed over to look at this

As I was looking at it a lady passed me carrying the lovely little sewing box. I was gutted. :(

Now I didnt buy this table either because they wanted £25:eek: and I thought it was a little expensive. What do you all think?

  • £25 is way too expensive for this table BUT it would look gorgeous all painted up!

I would say it should have cost £8 max.

Thanks LJM the table and chairs were from "The Range" £89.99 which isnt bad really as most bistro tables are about a hundred, the padded seat cushions were £2.00 each from the same place.

Thanks Newmee, I just moved into this bland new build after losing everything in the lower part of my previous home due to a severe storm here last year. The avenue consists of 50 houses and guess who got the smallest garden??? MOI!!! it's about 8ft by 8ft and on the lower part I have a huge shed about the same size as the upper garden.... Which I may proudly add, I have started to paint the same as "Pollyskettles's" sorry to pinch your idea but couldn't help myself.
I went to homebase today and tried to convince 12 yr old daughter that we should have "willow+ country cream striped" but she was having none of it and frog marched me to the till with "Forget me not and country cream", I have started the front of the shed and it's looking fab, Im so excited and the neighbours have already been drooling, so I have a feeling there will be a few more popping up in this avenue soon Hahahah!!
We have decided to name our shed "Forget me not Cottage" she will have some carpet and some makeshift curtains inside as she dosen't have any windows. So the next thing I am going to look out for is a nice shabby sign with her name on!!!

Thank you, Thriftkitten! Did they do other colours in the seat pads?
