Mrs Moc, so sorry you have this additional worry on top of everything else  I hope you manage to get things sorted out soon x
mbm x0 -
morning everyone !!
MrsM, can you ask the kids what he was like when you are in hospital? Chances are that he wasnt drinking when you were in as he had no choice but to deal with eerything. But now you are home, the whole enormity of the situation might have hit him harder that you think. I was here the whole way though when you were first talking about this, so I know it is a really big deal. Can you get an outsider to talk to him for you, stress is the one thing you really need to avoid if you dont want to go back into hospital too soon.
((hugs)) and you know we are all here for you when ever you need to let off some steam. xxThe two best things I have done with my life

I shouldn't worry. I never had a queasy moment with DS1, and he is the next Einstein! Top of his class in all subjects, and baffles me with some of the questions he asks on a whole range of subjects.
With DD1 I was so sick, that I used to lie exhausted on the bathroom floor, as I didn't have the energy to get back to bed, and knew I was going to be repeatedly vomit for hours. She's a honey in lots of ways, but diagnosed with severe learning difficulties (not related to the morning sickness or pregnancy btw!)
This time round I'm somewhere between these two happy states, so maybe the next one is middle of the road. Or maybe the link isn't so reliable0 -
Mrs Moc - is there anyone else you can leave the kids with if/when you go back into hospital?
My stepfather is an alcoholic so I can kind of appreciate where you are coming from... It's not nice and yes they will lie about a lot of things especially alcohol... Have you thought about getting him to speak to GP? There is a medication that they can take that makes them sick as a dog if they touch alcohol but they have to take it every day. In Denmark they can go to the surgery to take the med daily and have a signature to say they've taken it etc. Don't know about the UK...
As for incubating a little einstein... well - mum had really bad MS with both me and my brother and we're alledgedly of decent IQ levelsSo there might be something in it... I can hope!
