Poorer people can't get credit cards. It is unfair that those who can least afford a loss, get less protection.
(I do understand that with credit cards there might be issues over who actually paid, who legally owns the purchase, etc. And the banks are more likely to agree to reducing credit card protection rather than increasing debit card protection  )
On a separate note, why not finally give trading standards some teeth - rogue traders currently have nothing to fear.0 -
- Investigate why credit card companies charge over the odds on interest - even when the interest rates are at an all time low.
- Stop subsidising Scotland and Wales
- Free prescriptions for long term illnesses such as Asthma
- Investigate Tax breaks for the rich ( With a good accountant they pay less tax than a low paid cleaner).
- Scrap the TV licence - it is outdated and overpriced when everyone has to now pay to go digital.
- Put Road tax on Petrol so that those who use the roads the most pay for it - Just have a disc supplied with the MOT to show that it is roadworthy
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

1.Pensioners should not have to pay tax on their pensions. They have already paid tax when they earned the money - why should they have to pay twice?
2.Also, we put our lump sum pension into a Fixed Rate Bond and we have to pay tax on this, too. Not fair.
3.When someone goes through the Congestion Zone, they are charged - fair enough. But the fine should not increase day by day - what if they went through the Zone on their way out of London on holiday, stayed away 2 weeks and didn't realise they'd gone through it till their return? By then, the fine will be astronomical!!0 -
Sweep out all MPs who have been stealing from us - make a rule that anyone found to have been doing this will not be allowed to stand at the next election. Let us have an all-new batch of candidates - this way, maybe the electorate will have some incentive to vote. Right now, I don't want to vote for someone who has been taking our money, thus helping them to get their hands on even more of it!! I can't be the only one who thinks like this.0

Increase Basic Tax Allowance
The Government take money off low earners via Income Tax, then give it back by the inefficient and poorly run Tax Credit System [if this was a business it would have gone bankrupt]. Increase personal tax codes for dependant children [limited to two].0 -
dont change a thing just allow everybody the same living expenses ps most of the nation wauld take a five year payfreeze for this small perk...0

Get all the money back from the MPs who have fiddled. Fine them 100X the amount. Use the money to build social housing & make the MPs build it under their community service orders - house the MPs in hostels & give their 2nd homes to the deserving.0

Introduce Import Export Electricity meters to encourage localised energy production. Every unit exported to the grid deducts from your bill at the same price as the cost of importing it from the grid, so that the individual rather than the energy company benefits from your investment in green technology.0
-
Stop emergency tax on second jobs where the combined incomes are lower than £40,000 (or a fair amount based on researched suggestions)0
-
Separate interest from Credit Card minimum payment
The minimum payment should be applied to the principle amount only, the interest should be charged on top of that.If your outgoings exceed your income, your upkeep will be your downfall.
