This week I did the sundried tomatoe and basil loaf, but only made it as a dough, then I spead in on a pizza tary, smoothered with garlic butter and it was so scrummy, to be honest my loaves are getting better and better! since that first one, their rising to the top of the loaf tin too! I set the crust setting to medium, I also add a little more water (1-2 extra tbsp usually) and I also scrap the edging in the mixing process with a spatular to make sure it's all mixing together and nothings getting left in the corner!
Only thing is I keep running out of bread flour!
To make best of both bread, I've been using 400g of white bread and 200g of wholemeal - my partner loves it like this and it makes lovely breadbuns aswell as loaves.

I finally got round to using the breadmaker. I used Lidl packet wholemeal breadmix. It turned out well, but seemed a bit salty.0

Have now done the banana loaf as well. Delicious.0

I got one of the Cookworks breadmakers, and have made at least one loaf a day, and tried various recipes from the instruction book and others. I've used different yeasts, and different flours, but I have yet to produce a loaf which doesn't sink slightly in the first 10 mins of baking.Just before baking, I have a beautiful domed loaf, but invariably the top goes flat. Although the results are delicious, I wonder if the same thing is happening to others with this breadmaker. I've tried so many different combinations and get the same result each time.
Is this happening to anyone else?
If not, can anyone suggest a recipe that works perfectly in the Cookworks0 -
I also buy Tesco's own Multi grain all in one packet bread mix. Water in first, then tip packet contents and 3hr 26mins later it's ready! Easy if in a hurry and want to make some bread whilst out.0

Fingers crossed it turns out alright....anyone got any tips? I've just bought the cookworks one (one 3 of us here so didnt want to spend loads yet just incase we don't use it as much as i expect) the recipe in the book says 3 cups of flour which converts to 24 oz or 680g....is this right? its seems a lot but then again i really havent a clue.0

Good luck with your first loaf! The amount of flour sounds about right to me.
There's an earlier thread where you'll find tips on using that model so I've added your thread to it to keep all the suggestions together.

Recipe I use then bake in oven is
1½ cups water
2 tbsp milk powder
2 tbsp sugar
1½ tbsp marg
1 tsp salt
4 cups flour ( I usually do 8oz w/meal & 12 oz white or all white)
1½ tsp fast action yeast ( I use Doves farm)
Set on dough programme then shape and let rise then bake in oven.
