You get a book with the Bread Maker that has lots of recipes in it!

I did the basic white bread which was water, veg oil, salt, sugar, dried milk powder, strong bread flour and yeast.

    Water (from tap)
veg oil is 58p a bottle
    salt
    sugar
dried milk powder (asda's own is £1.18)
strong bread flour was 51p but apprently Lidl's is better and a little cheaper
yeast - free from asda bakery or 48p for 8 sachets.

The recipes include chocolate brownies, banana loaf cake, pesto frochini?

Well that loaf is gone now! :o

we got 12 slices from it (not including crusts!) It was abit "dryer" this morning. Thing to remember is that it's not gonna taste like shop bought bread (IMO it tastes better) although OH thinks it's abit dryer and stodgyer!

It says in the manual that they keep for a day or two. But you've got to remember it's half the size of a normal shop bought loaf so will be used quicker!

Tomorrow I'm gonna make just the dough up and make some breadcakes!

I now need to purchase a bread bin!

    Well done bread looks great.
I quite often use mine for making interesting breads and just making the dough in the breadmaker. It saves so much effort my BM takes 1hr 20mins to make the dough. You then knock it back and put into appropriate shape. Allow the bread to rise and then bake them in the oven.

Recently I've made: Chelsea Buns, Savoury Chelsea buns, Swedish rye bread (2 loaves from one lot of dough) and onion and herb rolls.

I keep mine in carrier bags, usually keeps well for four or five days, but many of my loaves get eaten well before then. If they go dry then whizz them up to make breadcrumbs and freeze for later use.
