Looks good, whats your file like?

  • No, you're missing my point. The b/r will not show on your credit file, it shows on the public database. So, when they say its not to do with your credit report they are right. It is to do with you being a risk.

Whether they can see my bankruptcy or not Nid, I have 4 satisfied defaults post bakruptcy. Surely this is adverse credit data ?

Wether the behavioural or credit search was conducted first, the bankruptcy and/or defaults caused the decline. Therefore to make a statment that adverse data on my credit file did not cause the decline is inaccurate ?

(Btw I do have a Vanquis credit card :D And a Next catalaogue directory & card, and an Abbey A/c with overdraft).

I always think your advice is great BTW! I'm just trying to get my head around the rejection letter from Aqua !

    But i'm Still puzzled lol
A bank is a place where they lend you an umbrella in fair weather and ask for it back when it rains

You're not listening - the reason they declined you is because you're too high risk! This means long before anything to do with the CRA search they had decided you were not applicable for their card.

The 3 steps used to determine credit isn't a 3 step process such as step 1 to step 3 - its instantaneous and is all linked together. They would have seen the public data (i.e. the b/r) and the data you supplied (job/salary/address/electoral register etc) and between this came up with a score that you fell short of. had you met the score then chances are the credit ref data would have got you cos the defaults would have made the negative decision in which case you'd have then been declined due to adverse data.

Do you see what i'm saying yet?
