Congratulations!
For how long have you held this account?
Mine was just increased from £350 to £500 and was opened in June.
I opened it in Feb if I remember rightly, it was £700 before this increase which kinda made it £100 per month increase (I started on £100 so by August it was £700)....
You'll find the more you use it and pay it off the bigger the increases - its funny, I could buy a plasma and do a bunk (unenforceability) cos I still have the CCA here to sign and return lol :beer:2010 - year of the troll

what are other examples N-I-D?
- Notice of correction
- Late payment markers
- Not on electoral register
- Current liabilities
- Additional information
- Want to speak to you
- Too much debt so needs manual intervention
- Incorrect details given to those obtained from CRA/N Hunter
- Suspected fraud
- Inconsistencies (i.e. you say house number 2 but they see house number 22)
Could be a range of things mate....2010 - year of the troll

So why would the bank themselves keep data for 10 years or whatever when they have no need to and no legal requirement?
Answer - When you have failed to repay a bank money or made hard work of repaying it, the bank may have no legal reson for keeping the data but it will because it never wants to lend :money:YOU:money: money again!
Also, the moment we have no contract I can demand they remove all my data as my permission to share/use my data would be revoked! You need to follow law and not what the banks 'may' tell you.
Answer - I suggest you get busy with a new crusade as thousands of peoples data is stored well beyond 6 years!
DPA 1st principle clearly covers us, in fact so does the 2nd - 7th principles lol. If there is no account then they will not retain my data, I can promise you that!
Answer - Many parts of law cover allsorts of things that are not always adered too!;)0 -
Hi all,
Just tried for the JD Williams account online, went through it and it came out with a £125 limit.
Don't particularly want to order stuff from it, but thought I'd do so to get a few zeros against the account.
Logged out then back into it and there now appears to be no limit available???
Any ideas?Capital one £200 - bal nil. Aqua £350 - bal nil
Vanquis limit [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£750[/STRIKE] £1250 - bal £450. Nat West overdraft limit - £300, unused. JD Willaims limit [STRIKE]£400 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE] £600 [/STRIKE] £900 - bal £90.
Very limit £400 - balance £329 (buy now pay 2011!)0 -

I did sign and return my credit agreement!!!
However there is something about them... I sent the DD form with minimum payments, and on the statements they are showing my DD payments for the third consecutive month ...but no money has left my bank account yet!
I am a bit worried about this.0 -

CRAs my have returned adverse info for you.
Login again and see if there's any limit. Otherwise call them and ask. Next did this to me but I wrote and they put my limit back. Litlewoods just turned me down instantly a few months ago. I didn't bother to call or appeal as I already have two catalogues and don't want anymore. Enough green 0s by now.0 -

Nooo - you pay online with your debit card mate! If you have a balance and they not taking DD then you are in default of the account and they will be ruining your credit file with late payment markers!
You are responsible for paying, not them mate! :eek:2010 - year of the troll

You dont have a clue and on that note i'll bow out gracefully in the knowledge that you do not have a clue. You cannot go around telling people these things, the law is there for a reason - not to be abused. I explained that banks keep data for 'as long as necessary' but no longer than 6yrs from closure date - you want an answer that aint there!
You say HSBC keep data forever? Watch this space!2010 - year of the troll

In reply to my earlier post (below) - this should put your mind at rest and prove (yet again) that you don't have a clue!never-in-doubt wrote: »You say HSBC keep data forever? Watch this space!

Poor me, I am feeling very sorry for myself. I had a bad credit history but have been good for the last 6 or 7 years...I even have got a mortgage now! But I've had some recent trouble with the bank refusing to give me a new loan or up my overdraft.
So I got a Experian report and everything looks OK to me, lots of green 0s and nothing else, I am on the electorall register etc. So I thought I would apply for a Vanquis Card just to see what happens - and after 3 weeks of waiting they turned me down
I feel like an outcast! I don't really want any advice, just sympathy please he he he. I do have a large number of checks now so I think I will just lie low for the next 6 months. Its so hard though, especially with things like insurance quotes that you really do need.0
