I knew you'd be like that - nothing is new! LOL :rotfl:

LOL. Perfect use of both words in a single sentence. Hopefully CHANGEyourMP has learnt some things today. HSBC's data processing procedures and how to use two words that sound the same, but have completely different definitions correctly.

That concludes the English lesson for today. :rotfl:

CRAs my have returned adverse info for you.

Login again and see if there's any limit. Otherwise call them and ask. Next did this to me but I wrote and they put my limit back. Litlewoods just turned me down instantly a few months ago. I didn't bother to call or appeal as I already have two catalogues and don't want anymore. Enough green 0s by now. :D

Thanks, that's what I feared re : the CRAs.

Logged in this morning and they HAVE given me £125! :D

    Now..... what to buy?
Capital one £200 - bal nil. Aqua £350 - bal nil
    Vanquis limit [STRIKE]£250[/STRIKE] [STRIKE]£750[/STRIKE] £1250 - bal £450. Nat West overdraft limit - £300, unused. JD Willaims limit [STRIKE]£400 [/STRIKE] [STRIKE] £600 [/STRIKE] £900 - bal £90.
Very limit £400 - balance £329 (buy now pay 2011!)

    Hiya

Its not the CRA's, basically if you apply for JD Williams out of hours (i.e. at night) they auto give you a limit of £125 and perform a credit search at the same time. If you log-out and in again, the limit will be the same, higher or gone altogether.

If its been lowered its because of high risk (from cra's), if its been increased its because you're a good risk (from the cra's) and if the limit has been removed - just check the next day as they may need to manually assess it. If by the next day it is still showing as £0, then you can ring and try to appeal it but generally that means you've bad credit.

In your case, because the limit reappeared today, the system couldn't auto guarantee an account so it was manually processed today - maybe you have a late payment/old default/notice of correction etc? Thats the norm, but not exhaustive by any means :D

Still, congratulations on the new account! :T:T

The limit actually reappeared later last night, thanks for the congrats.... have also just opened account with Jacamo and got the same £125 limit. Both sign-up procedures were the same, are they the same organisations?

Any others you could advise to try for, as need to build up some new zeros!

  • Cheers N-I-D.

Are there any other credit accounts (excluding this group of companies) that are easy to sign up for?

Was abroad for a while 8 years ago, then lived with a woman for a couple of years, but found out afterwards that at no point did I appear on the electoral roll. Crashed at a mates after leaving her, so again not on the ER. 2 years and 5 months at current home and appear on ER now.

Nothing in the way of credit history apart from the last 13 or so months, tbh. In that 13 months, not missed a payment, all zeros with Vanquis and Nat West.
