    Well done Jack :j.

Nice to hear you were able to go 'mainstream' so quickly. I'm hoping by this time next year, i'll have paid off all my debts and my 2 defaults would have dropped off my credit file by August 2010 :T.

I'm using my newly aquired Aqua, Vanquis and Cap1 cards to help repair the damage. With any luck i'll only need the cards for just over a year before i can move on as you've done :rotfl:.

Thanks for sharing the good news .

My hayfever has started to kick in. I want to take my eyeballs out and scratch them with wire wool!

    Feel for you Cifpower.

Used to suffer terribly from hayfever, especially when a i was a likkle girl. Not so bad in the last few years. The allergy seems to have gotten better as i've gotten older.

Nothing on the market has ever really worked for me. Do you take anything for it? A cooling eye-mask will help soothe your irritable, puffy eyes. Bliss...

I take a drug called Neoclarityn for the hayfever which seems quite effective but when the season reaches its height I will have to take eye drops and nasal spray too. I hope it wears off as I get older as it can be quite debilitating when bad.

When I was younger I never used to suffer from it until I was around 8 or 9. I was playing in a field with some friends when my eyes started to water and close up and I kept sneezing. I was taken to the doctor and was diagnosed as suffering from hayfever.

Just thought I'd update my situation....

I currently have the following cards and have had them all for nearly a year:

    Vanquis £250 limit (never changed)
Capital One £200 limit (never changed)
MBNA (£100 deposit) £500 limit (never changed)
    FlyBe £1300 limit (from £1000)
    JJB £325 limit (from £250)

I'll be honest... they are all VERY near their limits for various reasons incliding just paying for a holiday, mortgage fees, legal fees & survey and just generally paying the minimum or a little more each month.

Been desperate for a decent balance transfer card with a good limit, applied for loads at the back end of last year and was declined on all accounts, just applied for a Tesco card and was accepted but only with a £500 limit! Great card too, 14 months 0% on balance transfers, 6 months on purchases.

A bit down in the dumps a couple of days back about the small Tesco Limit I thought I'd give Barclaycard a go, not expecting much as I was declined a SkyCard (Barclaycard too), applied for the Barclaycard Gold with 0% on BT's for 6 months and got the usual "we will be in touch" ...

Patience is not my best virtue! Just called them, ACCEPTED with a £3000 limit!!! :D

Delighted, will balance transfer everything on to that and use the Tesco card for purchases and pay it off in full each month, hopefully by the time my 6 0% Barclaycard months are up I'll have a good limit on the Tesco one so I can transfer the rest over to that for another 8 months @ 0% (Tesco card allows BT's in the first 12 months)

Will be SO glad to dump the daft Vanquis, Cap1 and MBNA cards at last, plus I'll get my £100 back from MBNA too hehe :p:D

There's always light at the end of the tunnel!

Just off the phone to Littlewoods.

I said I was declined for an account because I'm not on the electoral role. I told them I phoned the CRA and they confirmed I am on the electoral role.

The guy asked if he could do another search, I said yes, he came back and said I can see you are on the electoral role. He then manually opened me an account with £100 limit.

Yippeee, although I guess I've got two searches from littlewoods now, and I canceled equifax membership yesterday. :(
