    To all fellow misprice fans:

Do the SAs in your local Tesco give you a hard time? Mine always give me the evil eye when I go to them for DTD (only a a few times a year) or return something. As id I'm doing something wrong. It kind of gets to me sometimes, makes me feel uncomfortable going to CS. :(

Mine aren't too bad, they are quite nice actually. Its just some of these stupid things, as per my previous Becks post that makes me feel like I'm causing a fuss at customer service.

Last time I went to C/S they tried to lie their way out of a misprice. I tried complaining to manager but got no response so now I shop at Asda & Sainsburys and I'm saving a fortune! Just go to Tesco for the odd special offer.

Thanks C/S. If you weren't so rude I'd still be shopping there.

Tescos appear to have changed their Becks promo. It was £5 crate of Becks per £30 spend, but it now appears that you have to claim the discount (with a voucher that is printed off with your receipt) at the customer service desk after shopping (and another queue!).

This isn't made clear at all. The only reason I checked my receipt was because they had forgot to discount it last time so I got DTD. Now they appear to have changed the promo without making it clear that you have to claim the diff in price back after shopping. Please check your receipts. I wouldn't have if I hadn't had a problem last time.

the discount doesnt actually automatically go through the till... the checkout operator has to actually see you've spent over £30 and that its becks your buying and then discount it... so i guess that must have been their quick fix...

I can see how the voucher 'could' inspire further spendings but surley if it's advertised (as such) it should be automaticly applied!
Do they need a software update? or are they aiming for better figures at 'less than fruitful' stores?.. all tesco prices are advertised nationwide, arn't they??! :money:

I wouldn't have minded so much, if they had made it more apparent that the promo had changed. I wonder how much Tescos have made from people not checking their receipts or throwing away their vouchers.

Did you do your shopping then keep some back when paying, and put through the same checkout straightaway. Or did you just do a £30 shop, claim voucher, another £30 shop , claim voucher, extra.

I would be interested to know, as I did a shop which came to £122 last time, and I did wonder about splitting it up into £30 shops when paying (so I could stock up on £5 crates of beer), but wasn't sure if I could do it that way in several go's with just myself at the checkout at the time. Would the checkout operator have let me? Would I need another person with me (like my OH) to put the rest through separately. I'm not sure if its one per visit, or per £30 spend, or per customer.

It would be nice to know, as its a good quality beer. And for that price it would be good to grab as many as you can get. Christmas will be coming all too soon, so I will stock up where ever I can.

Any advice would be much apreciated, thanks.

Sublime, I am pretty sure you would get a voucher from the till for all £30+ transactions you do. So you could ask the SA to split your shopping, it's easy enough for them to stop when the total exceeds £30.

The only time you are not supposed to split your shopping is if you are thinking of trying to pay the 2 transactions with a duplicate batch of money-off coupons (a strict no-no as the Tesco policy only allows one of each coupon). Otherwise there's no reason why they would refuse.

But why bother when in many stores right now, these particular till-spits are flapping around the car park and in every 10th trolley you care to pick...I have also seen spare ones on the tills and windowsills. Quietly picking one or two up on the way instore would save a lot of hassle at the till.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
