went to my local tesco store today and they had an offer of boys school shoes limited time only reduced to £5 instead of £11. When i went to the till i was charged £11. So went to cs desk and the person checked the price they were supposed to be £5 so she give me a £12 refund and also walked out the store with a new pair of shoes free yippeee.0

Got a nice DTD of £14.40 on 10 of these today. There should have been a BOGOF on a price of £1.44. This was not taken off/applied at the till.
So....out of the store (it's important to do this, I believe, or they can correct things at the CS till before you leave the store - and technically therefore, they haven't overcharged you) and then back in again with our trolley straight to the CS desk.
"Excuse me, I think I have been overcharged, etc, etc, etc."
CS duly checks till receipt and listens to our explanation about how it should be a BOGOF.
"OK. Pass me your card and I'll do a refund."
"How much are you going to put back on the credit card?"
"£14.40"
"OK. That's great."

Total Recall Bluray, Robot & Frank tickets, Taken 2 Bluray, Borgen DVD, Aliens: Colonial Marines game, £1475 cash, Kellogg's Cereal, NY trip to see Beyonce, a mug, Liberty x Dockers event tickets, Iggy Azalea tickets, bottle of champagne, theatre tickets to The Pride, VEVO Halloween party tickets...0 -
Today, in the seasonal aisle, Baby bio - £1.50 on sel, charged £1.99. (CS said it has a different barcode, staff had put it in the wrong place)
And Tesco jars of antipasto, onion/aubergine/courgette - sel said £1.15 each or any 2 for £1. But they rang up as £1.15 each, minus 0.80p. Should have said minus £1.30.0 -
I did have one problem with Cs, I bought 2 boxes of cerial that were on the end of the isle with a big BOGOF sign on each shelf and above ( Sugar puffs £2.99 and Shreddies £ 1.96 ) I asked a member of staff that was filling the shelves if i could mix the offfer for one of each and not 2 the same and she said "Yes, the cheapest will come off at the till) Later checked my receipt and they were not taken off, so i went to Cs and the woman said she would check and told me i had to buy 2 the same!! I told her i asked a member of staff but she didnt care! she told me to bring them back for a refund or keep them!!
I asked why they were displayed the way they were as it was misleading the customer to be told that head office tells them where to put signs.and that was it!
wondering should i complain and write to H.O or not??Hello my name is nahteb20 and i am a T's Glitch & Bargainaholic.......0 -

I'm sorry, OP, and no offence meant to you personally, but this simply is not true and is one of a series of "Great Lies of our time" told to you by CSD. The good CSD staff and other Tesco staff that read and contribute here are let down massively by the few that plain and simply lie.
The sale is concluded totally at the till (Point of Sale). At the POS, the till op will say something like "that's £34.60 please". You may say "Will you take this bale of hay instead?" or "How about £30 cash and £4.60 of these coupons?", or just pay up £34.60 - all of which are valid and may be agreed too. You exchange your bale of hay for a receipt. At that point, the goods are yours and the conditions of the sale have been made (you may have been given 1000 Club card points for the hay, these can not be taken away retrospectively without both parties agreement).
Leaving the store has no effect on the sale. I believe the confusion may arise from shoplifting, whereby you need to have left the store without paying for the goods so that the store can say you had no intent to pay, but once you *have* paid, the sale is complete."Life was easier when I didn't have a clue"0 -

Hold on!
Bale of Hay = £34.60
"you may have been given 1000 Club card points for the hay.."
1000 Club card points = £10.00
x4 if changed into ClubCard rewards means worth £40
So you've made a profit of 5.40!!
