sublime theres no law against it...and if one of the little hitlers on the tills says anything all you say is your shopping for different people who want a seperate receipt.....0

Did you do your shopping then keep some back when paying, and put through the same checkout straightaway. Or did you just do a £30 shop, claim voucher, another £30 shop , claim voucher, extra.
I would be interested to know, as I did a shop which came to £122 last time, and I did wonder about splitting it up into £30 shops when paying (so I could stock up on £5 crates of beer), but wasn't sure if I could do it that way in several go's with just myself at the checkout at the time. Would the checkout operator have let me? Would I need another person with me (like my OH) to put the rest through separately. I'm not sure if its one per visit, or per £30 spend, or per customer.
It would be nice to know, as its a good quality beer. And for that price it would be good to grab as many as you can get. Christmas will be coming all too soon, so I will stock up where ever I can.
Any advice would be much apreciated, thanks.
Checkout girl , knew what I was doing and did not mind one bit, I just put it all on the belt in seperate lots , told her I had to do it that way so I could get the beer.Never pay more than you have too0 -

We used this offer the other night. Got our shopping which came to around £42. Got the voucher, then picked up a box of 15 strongbow cans and paid £5 for it.
Luckily we were the only one in the queue as it was around 7.30pm and the box of strongbow was right next to the till we were at.
Nothing to stop you picking up a box of whichever type you want. Waiting till main shopping gone thro. Get the voucher and then pay for the beer/cider.I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
I was charged £2 for something that had been reduced to £1.40. It was a pack of boxer shorts for my son.
When I took it back to C/S in the clothing department, she refunded me the £2 and gave me the shorts for free.
I thought this was the old way of doing things?0 -

I'm a Mr T checkout girly and several of my customers did this today. No rule against it,
just be nice to usthough you don't have to justify it at all, as another poster said, who's to say your shopping isn't for two seperate people?

A long time ago the Mods banned the two Tesco Misprice and Tesco Misprice Discussion threads. There was a troll problem.
Anyhow the current single Tesco Misprices and Discussion threads seem to be trundling along quite nicely.
But recently the actual misprices are being swamped by the discussion posts.
Perhaps it's time for 2 threads again - one for chat and one for spots.
Any thoughts?

Thanks for all your responses re: the becks promo. I will now be happily splitting up my shopping. I'll just make sure both myself and the OH have a trolley. Thanks again! :T0

The only time you are not supposed to split your shopping is if you are thinking of trying to pay the 2 transactions with a duplicate batch of money-off coupons (a strict no-no as the Tesco policy only allows one of each coupon). Otherwise there's no reason why they would refuse. .
Again, another tesco non national policy.
Staff were very happy to let me split my shopping during the Morrison/Lidl £5 off coupons and let me use a handful of other identical money off coupons too in each off the £30 cut off points.
I have 3 large tescos within a 10 min drive and it depends on which way the wind is blowing through each checkout (let alone store!) as to the policy on coupons. :rotfl:Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Hi Coupon-Mad
I tend to get duplicate MOC's by putting all the beer through as a separate transaction. I joke to the SA that "The Hubby pays for the beer and I have to give him a receipt." Tend to mumble that I'm not paying for his beer on the shopping etc., He can pay for his own beer! (He actually pays all the shopping receipts) Never had a problem yet on the MOC front doing this.
I had to do this last year after I had tons of duplicates about to expire from the Good Food Show and I was shopping at 2 different Tesco's twice a day (on the way to work and on the way home again) with a split shopping on each occaision.I want to be credit card and loan free by Christmas 20100
