  • I just got back from Tesco (swansea marina) Isla Nigra red wine on half price £3.99 instead of £7.99 but I got charges £7.99 for the 9 bottles I bought. Had a refund for £72.

Purchased 4 boxes of 100 earl grey tea bags this morning. Shelf ticket said £2.25 and went through till and charged £3.34 each.

Went to customer service and got DTD paid back of £8.72. So 400 tea bags for £4.64. The offer actually ended on the 8th September.

And recieved 26 points for the original purchase of £13.36 and 1 Green cc point for re-using bag, worth total of £1.08 in future deals.

I had checked with their instore scanners located in the isles before purchasing so would recommend that you scan items and purchase if shelf ticket is displaying the lower price, obviously making sure you are on to a winner before hand.

    Happy Days!!!

Keep looking out for the barcoded receipts in trolley.
Now double points earning you even more CC points.

I don't know if this is a genuine misprice or not, but previously shelled pistachio nuts were selling in Tesco for £8.40 (300g). They are now priced at £2.40 something. So it's cheaper to get the already shelled nuts than the ones with their shells on.

    =£12.23
Nice to get one over on Tesco but cheaper to buy on-line for £11.99 (Amazon,Play) or £9.49 (ebay)

Agree it is cheaper online (HMV also give away a bag for their £11.99) but it was required same day.

Did also get 28 points (at £14) = £1.08 for deals so it does technically come under £12!! ;) but that is getting very tenuous!!

Double the difference. Rightly or wrongly many shops assistants do not know about this, and try to refund the overcharge only.

Sorry but thats being a bit naive or far too trusting, they all know about it, they just hope that you do not and then play dumb when they realise you do, some even take it as a personal insult and try to make you out to be the guilty party.
